No need to apologize at all. I strongly believe we would remiss in not having these discussions so that the next person that wants to purchase one of these, makes an informed decision. Although having this discussion definitely reminds me that I need to purchase the extended warranty. :)...
I live in western Quebec (Gatineau area), and we have quite a few more days colder than -30 Celcius. I have heard the numerous issues some owners experienced, and I can only provide my experiences with it. The real issue for me was the Ecodiesel (a total piece of $h%!), they replaced the first...
Just my 2 cents :For the extra 3,100 lbs towing capacity, for me, I'll gladly give up 1 mpg. I have the 3.92 in my Rebel, and only have about 1200 miles on it. I get a solid 18 MPG with ~90% city driving.
I still can't believe that they removed the ambient lighting in the Rebel trim - it's completely ridiculous. Having known this, I would have purchased our Canadian sport model ( or Laramie sport trim). Although I really don't like 20" + rims.
Very nice lighting. I wish the Rebel would have had the ambient lighting - I wasn't aware it didn't, as I would have likely purchased the sport which I believe has all the amenities.
I had mine 4 years without issues, and they must of changed something because the ride is quite a bit more stiffer than my 2015. I can't prove that they changed anything for air (appart from different part numbers), but it's definitely faster at up/down and a bit stiffer.
I had the 2015 Outdoorsman Ecodiesel with air suspension, and never had any issues with it here in Quebec. Even at -40 Celsius I never encountered an issue, and it's always parked outside (never in the garage). That said, I have heard numerous complaints from other people having issues at that...
Having had the tow mirrors on a 2015 RAM, and then 2017 GMC Sierra, I just love these tow mirrors - to me I can't live without them. I guess it depends about how much you tow - but even if your not towing, the extra visibility they provide are simply stellar IMO. Different strokes for different...
I've got the Rebel with almost 2000 KM (~ 1200 Miles) and it also has 3.92 and it seems to come on quite a bit. I'm averaging about 18 MPG (90% city), and stays on quite a bit at 100 KMH too, but I've been babying it quite a bit (driving like I've got an egg under my foot). :)
You can take off the "aero" mode in the Uconnect if you wanted to (I don't know why you would not want to have it in aero though at highway speeds). Aero mode kicks in at 102 KM for me. Optionally you can just hit the button to get it out of aero mode at highway speeds. The 1" lift is...
This thread had me thinking about overall abilities of our trucks, and man ohh man, am I ever happy I have the 3.92 - I still can't believe there's a 3,100 lb towing capacity difference - that's definitely the best $50 anyone will spend in my opinion.
