    Laramie Advanced Safety Group 2

Considering an order for a 2025 Laramie as an upgrade from my 2023 Laramie but have some questions about the Advanced Safety Group 2 package. My 2023 Laramie has the Advanced safety group which included this camera as well as a few other options but was only $1,995 - the new package 2 is a...

    Clock spring problems

Had mine replaced in 2023, replacement is now failing and I am waiting on backorder part. The temp fix is to turn out auto highbeams if equipped.

New 2025 ram tradesman work trucks

Up until now we always ordered 1500 classics if we were getting rams and those were much more basis trucks. Now that they are only offering the 5th gen the price and base options have certainly been elevated. You can option a tradesman with chrome or body color and with the nicer wheels but...

New 2025 ram tradesman work trucks

They do have adaptive cruise. I looked closer and turns out the capitalized price was $46,206 so a good amount less than I posted earlier as that was before incentives. These have 3.92 rear, Mopar side steps, trailer brake controller.

New 2025 ram tradesman work trucks

These are purchased through Enterprise fleet with factory and government incentives. Used to be a lot more incentives but they haven't really come back. Still cheaper than ford or Chevy at the time of order. I wouldn't pay that price at a dealer but it makes sense in this case given the whole...

New 2025 ram tradesman work trucks

Started taking delivery of the 7 2025 ram 1500's I ordered to replace fleet trucks that are ready to sell. Always interesting to see the stripped down version of the truck in work truck trim. Crazy to see they cost us a bit over $51k per truck considering I wad able to buy a 2023 Laramie for...

    Minnesota Winter Tires?

Depends on your definition of sufficient. I run Wildpeaks April - Nov and Blizzaks Nov-April. The Wildpeak are good in snow and much better than all-seasons. A dedicated winter tire may not be much better on snow but they are noticeably better at start, stop and turn on ice. So you don't...

Change to turn signals in 2023 MY?

So Murphy's law took over and the signal issues seemed to magically disappear on my way to the dealer today - perhaps because I've been driving around with my auto highbeams enabled for several weeks? I dropped off the truck at service and then walked over to sales to chat with my salesman and...

Change to turn signals in 2023 MY?

Have an appointment on Friday to have my replacement replaced - hopefully 2nd time is a charm.

Change to turn signals in 2023 MY?

Seems like the problem is now happening again after having the part replaced last year. Hoping to figure out if it is all the same issues as last time and see if the dealer can replace again. Anyone else have this issue again after a replacement?

Ram 1500 Laramie Crew Cab 4x4 6'4" Box

Not sure how this compares to other deals going on right now but I bought a 2023 Laramie 4x4 6'4" with more options and an msrp of just over $70k for just over 52k. It was a factory order and the deals were really good because Ram had 10% off Laramies but still seems you might get a better deal.

BEST Cap/Top out there...... RSI SmartCap ?

No idea on brand but the place that installed my topper used a standard tailgate seal kit to fill in those gaps and I don't seem to have any issues with dust from gravel roads etc.

Pain in the butt safety stuff

I have a 23 and the only time I turn off the proximity sensors is when towing (rear sensor) or if doing real off-roading. I don't have any trouble with backing out of the driveway (my 2019 always braked and had to be turned off) or 2 tracks or gravel roads or in fields or trails etc. Seems...

    Drove 2 similar trucks today - a 25 hurricane and 23 Hemi

Had a 25 Laramie SST delivered to my shop today as a rental truck and it happened to be almost identical to my 21 Hemi so made a great comparison out the drivetrains. Both are Laramie 4×4 CC with the bigger screen etc. My truck is a long box and has a topper so heavier than the 25 by several...

    Question about Ramcharger

Just to clarify for those discussing EV's the Ramcharger is not an EV - that truck is the REV. The Ramcharger is a series hybrid with electric drive motors and a battery but also a 3.6L pentastar that acts as a generator to charge the battery and provide power to the electric motors. If the...

    Question about Ramcharger

I think a series hybrid like the ramcharger could be a great patrol vehicle since it has huge range between the battery and engine and if it was not in service 24/7 could be charged overnight a few times a week and likely rarely need gas. Like others have said upsetting may not be an issue...

    Installing Town hooks

Yes and it is an easy job you can do in the driveway. Might take you an hour or more the first time but I've done it 6 times (3 on and 3 off) swapping from truck to truck and am pretty quick now!

(FF) Child car seats that fit quad cabs.

I can't help you with a seat that converts from rear to front to booster but I used Clek seats for rear and front. Not only are the shirt front to back but also side ro side so they fit 3 across better than most. The Diono is similar in dimensions. The Clek is crazy expensive but it is...

500 miles and towing break in

I think most people don't read the manual and many trucks are driven very hard on test drives during break-in and probably most a fine. This part of the manual has been updated a couple times as it was different for my 2019 then my 21 or 23. I figure if I wad able to do what the manual says I...
