I think if it’s taking 300 miles for a drip to hit the floor, you’re pretty safe driving it 1500 miles to let the dye seep out. A drip per 300 miles would take a lifetime to lose enough oil to do engine damage.
Not saying the problem shouldn’t be fixed because it absolutely should, just saying...
Traded my 15 SLT Z71 at 80k miles, agree on retaining resale value as I got $30,500 trade in for it. The transmission shift was horrible and I was bit by the stuck lifter issue and took out the top end of the engine. Regrets? ABSOLUTELY not! Styling, ride, power, value, the whole package is...
I went with USAA and didn’t finance with them either. $1400 for 5/100k with zero deductible. Had really good luck with them on my previous GMC that had the active fuel management fail and took out the top end of the engine and all emissions at 45k. Provided a rental for the entire time the...
Non functioning.... like 19Jake said, water and ice trap. When I go through. A car wash I have to raise the hood to let the water run out of the vents. Otherwise I get water streaks as I drive down the road. The hood looks bad@ss but if I had it to do over again I might pass on the sport...
They make a fair point that the trucks aren’t getting advertised MPG, but how many of us even looked at those numbers when we purchased? I was getting 18-19 out of my 15 GMC and I’m getting pretty much the same out of my Ram. I’m happy and if I bought for MPG I wouldn’t have even looked at any...
We have almost identical twins. I went with the 8.4 non nav and the tow group (regret that one now). I only went 2” on the level and UCAs to level and go 34’s later on. Love this color though!!
Stock exhaust here and can hear the “whomp” every time. Gear limiter to 8 every time I drive it just so I don’t have to hear and feel it.
GregHBNA is correct about the GMs being worse, my 15 GMC was awful.
GMC convert here and had said for years that I’d never drive a P.O.S. Dodge Product. Humble pie isn’t so bad, give it a try... I have zero regrets and would buy one again in a heartbeat, absolutely love driving this truck. What would I do different? Study up more on the options, the ONLY...
I guess I’m an unfortunate one because the MDS drives me crazy. I suppose everyone has their particular pet peev pertaining to their truck... mine happens to be the MDS
Ditto what Gatornation said. It’s unfortunate that some here have had real issues but I for one have have only 1 minor issue and wouldn’t hesitate for a minute to go buy again if something were to happen to my 19. You ask me, I’d say go for it but if you ask one of the few who have major...
I’ve been burnt more than once on accessories for the “all new” 2019 body style as there is a 2019 Classic that is the same as the 2018. Bedtred then side steps, both purchases I was assured that they would fit the 2019 only to find out they weren’t aware of the two body styles for 2019. I...
Talk to your Ram parts department.... PART NO. 82215213AD MSRP $350.00. My local dealer quoted me this and offering 15% off. I haven’t pulled the trigger just yet as I’m waiting to see if the Bedrug folks come out with the bedtred for the 5th Gen.
The 2019 Ram off road package (suspension) rides like a Cadillac compared to any GM truck 1500 or 2500. I am a GMC 1500 convert and don’t regret it a bit, the ride being one of the largest selling points to me.
Not that my backside can feel. When purchasing I was test driving an ORP truck (the one I bought) and a non ORP and honestly couldn’t tell the difference. However, I was coming from a truck that rode rough so both the OPR and non ORP rides like a dream.
