Just looked over my receipts from the body work. Originally the order was written as “Bumper ordered new from Ram/Mopar: Primed, add for clear coat”
I assume this was then installed as just a primed not painted bumper.
The correction and second repair was written as “Bumper removed, coated to...
I had a similar issue where the color didn’t match when the body shop ordered a rear bumper from mopar. I was sideswiped 10 days after I purchased the truck. After waiting months for the parts (covid) the bumper didn’t match. It practically looked blue rather than flat black. The truck had to...
I’d love to see a Cummins gasser in an HD truck, I will keep pipe dreaming! I assume it shares a lot of architecture with the 6BT? All of my experience with Kubota engines makes me think that that sort of modularity in design is the way to go.
I'd be very surprised if the new 2500 comes with a 3.0 liter engine of any variant, Hurricane S.O/H.O or otherwise. I feel like the Hurricane would give up the ghost earlier than a 6.4 Hemi or a 6.7 Cummins. Unless they're planning on unleashing a larger I6 turbo, maybe a 4.0-5.0 Liter, let's...
Sure can! So far so good. Only noteable mechanical issue was at ~65,000 miles. I had a CEL for a glow plug failure. After a day at the dealer they figured out that the glow plug control module had failed and it was partially covered under warranty, but I was still on the hook for shop time to...
I’ve got a 1993 Suzuki DR350S that comes out when the sun is shining! And when I wanna take her somewhere far away she goes right in the back of the Ram or on the trailer.
I thought the consoles were more or less the same. Mine also has the sliding tray and it works no problem with the safe. If the limited is significantly different then yes, there maybe issues.
Edit:
Did some quick research, and yes, the clearances are different in the limited. I stand corrected!
I will also say that the factory Mopar one is pretty good. It's manufactured by Tuffy and fits pretty seamlessly with the Rams console. Plenty of space for a full size pistol (Beretta 92), spare mags, and a box of cartridges, with room to spare. My Sig 365 could swim in the thing.
Oh I'll be driving past all you HEMI guys, regardless of axle ratio, while you're filling up. I'll be chugging along getting 25 mpg right up until my EGR cooler cracks and dumps antifreeze into the intake, destroying my engine :)
I don’t know Dewey all that up shifting and downshifting while on the highway sometimes spilled my caramel macchiato. Never had that happen in my 3.92 truck.
I should've checked the (3.55) box when ordering my truck. Potentially could've had the best of both worlds. Or the worst of both... Any 3.6 V6 guys in this thread wanna do an axle trade? we could swap 'em out in my driveway, I'll make sure there's plenty of beer in the cooler!
Sometimes I do...
What we need is an engine that can run at high RPM but low load in a very lean condition. Sipping on fuel and creating good power. But then we need to strangle it with emissions equipment and EGR’s. Ahhh that would be a dream. (Please note the sarcasm here)
Welcome to the forum and congrats on the sweet "New to You" ride! My grandfather always use to say there's nothing better than a black truck. Many happy healthy miles to you and your family, I'm sure you'll all love the truck.
