I'm hopeful it will be a plug in hybrid as 95% of my driving in a year is to and from work and running errands. We have solar panels and it'd super cool to never go to the gas station AND drive on sun power.
I can't find an actual regulation, but I've had multiple vehicles across several different makes and they all behave in the exact same way. You are saying that if you get in, start your truck, then get out with the key in our pocket and walk away it doesn't do anything? My 19 and 20 trucks both...
I would expect that glass itself would not be covered. People would try to claim cracks, chips, scratches etc that have nothing to do with something "failing." In this case however it's the seals or a body issue that is allowing water in and I would expect that to be covered by the warranty.
I don't know, what happens if you set your bag on your roof, got distracted and drove away. Without an alert you might drive 70 miles, shut the truck off and be majorly screwed.
