Yes sir. You’re correct. I’m always on or around a military base, so speed limits are always 20-40mph for travel. Im Active Army and 3.92 was better choice due to the about of “city” driving I’ll have to do. I’m about 17.5 with 90% of stop and go with low speed limits. Highway I can do 65-68 and...
70mph is 1900 rpm.
People seem to think highway means 80-85.
No, highway is 55-65.
But too each their own. I can drive 68 and get 21 with 3.92s in mid Missouri highways. Up and down hills.
Contacted the Ram dealer, been a crazy week at work, and they stated having lower than window sticker gas mileage is not a concern.
Now, normally I’d lose my **** and go nuts but im Not too comcerned as I’m still waiting on parts being ordered and will have them do it then. I’m not making a...
So there is a guy that just posted on one of the 5th Gen Facebook pages that he took his truck in (E torque) and complained about Gas MPG.
They stated there was a performance code but no engine light. They reprogrammed his pcm.
His previous statement at best hwy MPG was 17 and showed a pic of...
I had to do the same thing. The passenger side is a bastard to get hooked up straight. I had to use two big zip ties to straight it out.
Loosen everything when the exhaust is hot. It’ll take a couple heat cycles. Then tighten from front to back. The connection points are pivot points. Make...
Fun fact, All BT catch cans with Z bracket will fit any 5.7 or 6.4 Hemi.
The only difference is the hose length (as they as precut).
The catch can is the same size as well as the Z bracket. The spacer and bolt with washer, are all the same. I’ve used the same catch can from my 16 Ram Sport...
Got one in my garage for my wife. Even though I tell her to use the front parking sensors. Either way, if she’s more confident pulling in, it makes me feel better. Lol
Mine wasn’t replaced. I just did the “bang” method.
Still waiting on dealer parts to replace the console. Maybe I should have put that part in. Sorry for the confusion.
Yes and no. The tips and tailpipes are fixed BUT the movement from the connections allow you to move them to straighten them out.
The exhaust hangers have about 2” left to right adjustability. And the way this catback is designed puts the tips flush with your bumper; doesn’t stick out.
All in...
I won’t lie. This system reminds me of my old charger 392 when it had stock exhaust. Has a nice rumble inside. Even on the highway it has a nice low rumble; you can hear the separate pulses. Sounds old school. I like it.
If you’re arguing that at the same speed, the 3.21 gets better mileage than the 3.92, the yes. That would be common sense. Not sure that point has to be argued. There’s a clear difference at constant speed with no varible other than gear ratio.
I was referring to overall mileage. As in average...
