Right. Ford's engineers were shown a solution that was not expensive but worked reliably, and they scoffed and went a different direction, which does not work.
Instead of semi-rigid piping for intake/exhaust, they added a flexible mesh fabric "sock" to aid in intake, and nothing for exhaust...
Oh, there's a fix... you buy some of SeatGuru's kits, or build your own intake/exhaust for the TEDs in the seat back. Problem solved.
I only ever did my driver's seat, and it made a huge difference.

Here you go... 550 pages of fun reading LOL:
https://www.f150forum.com/f118/cooling-seats-issue-tsb-feedback-304154/
And no, in the 4 years since this issue popped up in F-150s, Ford has NOT taken their design and used it. Like I said, the forum members worked with Ford engineers and still...
When I took my 2015 F-150 to one of my local RAM dealers in December of 2018, I was shocked by the low trade-in value they offered me, so I took it to CarMax. They offered me exactly the same amount! Turns out the 2018 to 2019 model year change hurt F-150 resale values by thousands. The...
Glad you got your truck back! Looks good!
For appraisers, I'd go straight to CarMax and see what they say. Their appraisers seem like they do a good job, and will nit pick a vehicle at the same level I do (very detailed).

This reminds me about Ford and their gosh-aweful "cooled" seats on 2015+ trucks... that scorched the leather in the seat back, never cooled the seat back, and their TSB only fixed the scorched leather issue, and only in some cases. The true fix was a forum member's 3D-printed parts and kits he...
This is interesting, and lines up with what I'm experiencing. Sad, because I was going to use it to keep track of yearly fuel economy. I thought it was odd that it would rise and fall so much now with over 3,500 miles on my truck, whereas my last 2 trucks, both F-150s, after 1,000 miles or so...
Put me in the same boat, except I like the full brightness level. When I actually drive in the dark, which is rare, I'll scroll the dimmer wheel just past the indentation to dim the dash lights.
This too, is one of very few complaints I have with my truck. I didn't even think about it during...
I don't know if it's *necessary*, but it's probably a good idea. My one time towing with my new truck was with my 7x14 enclosed V-nose, and it's around 2,400lbs empty, so it had almost 3,400lbs with my motorcycle in it. I kept the speed at or below 50 (thank you adaptive cruise control!), even...
I'll do you one better ... figure out about how much the TTL are, and factor that into what you're willing to pay, and negotiate THAT! :D
That's how I do it, and it lets the dealer do whatever math they want. At the end of the day, I pay a price I'm happy with, I literally could not care less...
Oh, I had no idea! That's before I started looking at the new RAM. Mine was $2,645 when I bought it (5/19, built 3/19), and I don't even question its value... because of eTorque, my engine shuts off for 5-15 minutes per day of commuting. That's gotta be worth *some* savings at the pump.

Unless the bigger piece requires a huge mold, whereas 2 smaller molds are cheaper?
Lots of people forget that behind every $5 piece of plastic is a support system of people and tools that take the product from inception to production, and then support.
For the first X number of units sold...
Also note that the price for eTorque is down. Wasn't it a $2,695 option on all 2019 MY trucks? Now it's $1,995, nice! That's the opposite of what normally happens with new engine tech - usually the price is low and then creeps up as the years go by. IIRC, the price for Ford's EcoBoost...
Wow, I hadn't even noticed this thread before, but I'll add my experience.
While washing my truck for the first time back in May, I noticed that my driver's side rear door didn't sit flush with the cab like the passenger side rear door. I texted a couple of pictures to my salesman, and he told...
Usually, manufacturers don't discount their highest trim level trucks because the people looking at those $60k+ trucks can typically just afford them. At least, that's what dealers have told me in the past... basically, "if you're looking at a 60k/70k truck, you can just afford it, you don't...
That's great! I only have ~3,250 miles on my truck right now, and when I fill up at 1/8-1/4 tank, it takes 25-27 gallons and the readout usually says 535 miles to empty. Can't wait to take some road trips and see that number climb :D
I too, had a 36 gallon tank on my previous truck, an F-150...
Nope. The stock tires on my truck are regular P-rated tires, not LT, and according to my searching, I have a tow rating of 11,250lbs. So for 4k lbs, I'd keep a P tire and save yourself the rougher ride of an LT tire.
FWIW, I've towed about 4k lbs with my truck and had no issues with the stock...
Yep - I'm with you - ride and interior. Frankly, I got tired of the build quality issues my F-150s were suffering, and decided it was time to switch brands. The new RAM 1500 just struck me as gorgeous inside, and handsome outside. I still prefer the overall exterior of the F-150, but the RAM...
Nope, just the throttle. You can try Tow/Haul mode, pretty sure it holds lower gears longer in that mode, but it won't do anything (that I'm aware of) to the throttle response.
I'm in the same boat as you - Limited w/3.92 and limited-slip diff. Came from a 2015 F-150 w/3.5 EcoBoost - that...
I believe they were talking about using Sport mode on their F-150s.
To the others discussing fuel economy, it's been well-established that the Rebel with its lifted suspension and shorter (numerically higher) gearing will not get even close to the window sticker rating. In fact, you can pretty...
