You want a funny one? The 2009-2015? Nissan Maxima had a detent built into the throttle pedal. If you "floored" it, you only got up to 5,400 RPMs and it tramlined like a sonofagun. If you pushed harder, past the detent, you got the full 100% throttle, around 6,000 RPMs, and it went like...
I don't know how much a pallet of sod weighs, but there was a member on here early in the 5th gen's life who put over 4,000 (4,020 IIRC) pounds of rock in his truck bed... he said that lane changes at speed were a bit dicey but the truck made it across town (10 miles I think?) just fine.
I love...
How hard are you guys accelerating from a stop? My truck will spin the tires completely across an intersection... if I romp on it. If I accelerate normally, no tire spin.

Nope, just the seat cooling, IWEs, front diff, IWEs again, door latches, issue from the door latches being fixed, front rotors x 2, backup sensors. That's what I can remember off the top of my head. All in 3.5 years and 36k miles.
After the truck spending 3-5 days per month at a dealership (I...
Oh yeah, I forgot about that one! That plagued my truck too, until I installed the SeatGuru fix. Then there's the IWE issues, which also showed up on my truck - repeatedly.

Life is all about perspective, right?
Is anyone else coming from a 2015+ F-150, like me? If so, you probably experienced the dreaded door latch issues - to which weak A/C pales in comparison! Sounds like FCA is taking a page out of Ford's playbook when it comes to these climate-dependent...
Yeah, there was a car magazine that compared 3 trucks, and the RAM's payload was < 990lbs... and that was BEFORE the MFT came about! Not sure how they got that. Mine is missing the RAM boxes and bed utility group, Off-road group, and that's about it. I'm still at 1,320lbs payload.

I'll go out on a limb and say the 33-gallon tank is a heavy one (extra weight of tank plus fuel), the Level 1 equipment group adds a few pounds, wheels add a bunch. Upgraded radio is worth a few pounds. Like I said before, the leather is heavier, as is that center console. Trailer tow is...
What's your cab/bed/engine/drivetrain combo, and what options did you get? Somewhere on here there's a spreadsheet that lists option weights.
You'd be surprised what things weigh. IIRC, the sunroof option is 60-100lbs by itself. Leather is heavy, too. Fancy infotainment? Figure on...
It's because of your options. The 1,830lb is ideal (read: stripped-down, no options for that combo). You ordered leather seats? Better stereo? Air Suspension? etc.? All those options decrease your actual payload.

Congrats on your new truck! I had a decidedly different experience with Ourisman. I called on a Friday to confirm the location of a specific truck (their web site said Clarksville but the photos showed Bowie - trucks get moved, I get it, that's why I called ahead).
On Saturday, while running...

I think it's really cool.

I finally got flashed driving to my mom's house around Christmas. The other driver flashed their lights and then left the high beams on. I flashed mine back and when he didn't back down, I left my high beams on. I'm light sensitive, so it hurt and started to blind me, then the only way for ME...
Yep, all of this! I truly wish the truck manufacturers would test each basic setup:
Cab
Bed
Engine
Drivetrain (4x2 vs 4x4)
Sure, this means more work, but just like J2807 was first adopted by Toyota and THEN the other makes, it makes for more of an apples-to-apples comparison. How many...
I have no experience with the V6, but I *do* have experience with "Transport Mode" or whatever they call it, which sounds like the issue preventing you from test driving. 30 seconds of Googling will give you step-by-step instructions on how to get the truck out of transport mode... I did this...
A truck's suspension plays a big role in the payload and towing ratings as well. The shocks on a Raptor equate to lower towing and payload, just like the Rebel and Power Wagon figures. The PW is more of a hard-core off-roader than the Rebel AFAIK, which would make the lower towing and payload...
Marketing overhead? Someone realized that to win the 1/2-ton diesel wars, they'd have to be super competitive with the payload and towing capacities. The frame can probably be rated to 8,000lbs without an issue, but knowing how some of us use these trucks, they wanted to guarantee some margin...
I've had the T3 on my truck since August... it's been nice. Doesn't move - the clamps keep it in place - and the fluttering from wind doesn't reach the cab of the truck.
I've been happy with it so far. Had a couple of inches of snow on it, several frosts, no issues yet.
For the price, I'll...
I remember back in 2002, I had an OLED display on a Pioneer Premier head unit I installed in a car. It had a screensaver feature built in to prevent burn-in, and would reverse the "colors" if you can call them that (it had a few shades of blue, IIRC). It worked great. Now with full-color...
Haha, I am definitely sticking to stock exhaust then! I back into my driveway, and when parked, my truck is probably 10ft or less from the front of the house. When I remote start my truck in the morning, you can feel the exhaust rumble on the door handle to my front door. That initial bark at...
