Technically there is an update available for your vehicle. It comes under service bulletin/recall W33. It would update your radio to LR34.2 It needs stick number 1682 to do it. A tech knows what that means. Tell them to look at RC-W33-20. I could email you a copy of the zip file. If your radio...
You need to read this thread more thoroughly. It will need a software configuration using alfaobd. Getting the module right now is difficult. Bock ordered. Someone here is selling one.
Highly recommend you get the Mopar Max Care. 1 A/C problem or radio repair, it is close to being paid for. Just replacing a A/C compressor with the new 1234 freon is easily over $1k. Unless you expect to dump the truck under 3 years, get the contract.
Shine a black light on the oil on the floor. If it glows it has the dye tracer in it. It would be trans oil. If it does not would be engine oil. The factory adds florescent dye to the trans oil, but not the engine oil.
You know what. That is an electronic device, probably made in China. There will be some that will fail early. You also should remember it is in your tailgate which gets slammed when you close it. So you got unlucky. Not due to Covid. The dealer will replace the camera and just move on.
They should use a black light first. The trans oil has dye in it from the factory. Assuming the black light does not show a trans leak. Then add the dye to the engine. Drive it for a week or so and bring it back. If the oil glows under the black light, you have a engine oil leak. Will probably...
Are you sure you plugged the usb cable into the radio module. I think the rear usb ports are charge only. The front usb hub gets powered from the radio module. Otherwise is may be coincidental the usb hub went bad
You know the whole setup is kind of a problem. There is a release lever on the side of the trans that is actually used if the vehicle needs to be towed. It unlocks the park pall so you can tow the truck. It is connected by a cable to a lever inside the truck. The issue is if that lever gets...
I never said to cut and solder anything to the factory wiring. I said to solder a pin to a wire and install it in pin 9 of the C1 connector. This connection is direct to the same power relay circuit as the power outlet. It is a blank unused socket which is fused by the F66 fuse. Ask any...
The techs there are clueless. The reason your cluster is turning on and off is because a module is not properly going to sleep. This can be incredibly hard to figure out. This has nothing to do with you connecting to fuse F66. But using a fuse jumper is a terrible way to connect to an electrical...
Vehicle is covered under 3/36 warranty bumper to bumper. It is a covered item. As long as you are less than 36K, you are good. If they won't cover it, find another dealer or call FCA customer care. The only way it is not covered is if you installed the radio yourself after the fact. Then you are...
This indicates a module is waking up. Which one is anyones guess. Very hard to figure it out. But I would blame 2 possibilities. The radio or if you keep your key fobs too close to the truck when not used.
The auto manufacturers will never allow you to update yourself. Who pays for the module when you trash it by doing something wrong. Maybe an over the air update. Currently they do this with radios and radios are getting trashed. If tsbs were made public, every person would flood the dealers and...
Those techs were very careless in their attempt to fix the leak. To change a rear main seal requires transmission removal and oil pan removal. If they had put dye in the oil, they would have seen the source of the leak. This all assumes they actually pulled your transmission.
I understand your frustration. But you are equating what you paid for this vehicle in your mind to the fact you should have received a perfect vehicle. The price is not relevant. Generally most people will give the dealer a chance to correct the problem. If he does not, then pursue lemon laws...
