I came from a 2500 Suburban with the 8.1L and 4.10’s. It’d get 11-12 with nothing behind it and 9-10 with our 26’ boat. I don’t expect 20 mpg out of mine but would sure like upper teens.
$57 to program my controller. I’ll take it. Shows up on the dash like it should. I’ll be pulling my car trailer this weekend so I’ll be able to confirm it actually works.
If they charge me for anything more than 30 minutes I will be extremely pissed. My service department has already been a pain to work with and actually get them to look at most of my concerns.
My thoughts exactly. Now we are just coming out of winter so I am hoping to see some change for the better here soon. When I dropped my truck off at the dealer yesterday it did show 15.6 MPG and that was with about 150 miles on that tank of mostly highway runs.
Transmission problems are really a thing of the way past for FCA products. The 45RFE trans used in the early 2000's was an issue for trucks/SUV's. They've come a long way since then.
Nowhere near that with mine. Right now my dash is showing 15.6 and that's a lot of 60-65 MPH flat highways with cruise on. My Fuely Ap shows 13.9 MPG. Was hoping it would get a little bit better than it has been...
My build date was July 2018 and my truck is currently getting 13.9 MPG according to my Fuely App. If there is an update for the engine then I will let my dealer know as it's there right now for a few things.
Like SilverSurfer said though, a 3.92 truck will show around 2k RPM's at 75 MPH...
Absolutely insane. I took mine in yesterday and the service guy told me they estimate up to an hour for any flash. I showed them the picture Grinch posted (cropped out everything but the TBC notes) and told them if it's going to cost much more than that to not do it. He said that they will only...
Any configuration of Ram you get will tow that boat just fine. I've towed our 26' boat with a variety of vehicles. 02 Avalanche, 03 Suburban 2500, 03 Silverado 1500HD, 13 Tahoe, and will now be using my Ram. I know it won't tow as well as my 8.1L BBC Suburban, but it will tow a lot better than...
What size is the red Four Winns? I highly doubt it weighs over 8,000 lbs even with the trailer. Our 26’ Mariah doesn’t even weigh that.
Here it is behind my old 2500 Suburban.
I tried a pry tool but eventually gave up and just grabbed the top and pulled. It sounds extremely violent unsnapping but I didn't break anything, lol.
This is right here. My Dad has owned a 2WD Avalanche in Iowa for many years. He's never gotten stuck in the snow and has never had an issue pulling the boat out of the water.
With that being said, I'd never own a truck or SUV without 4WD (for daily driver purposes) due to how I use my vehicles...
