I don’t really see how you could shave it down evenly. It would be easier to remove it and put a new gasket/seal from Home Depot or something. But honestly if you just press the weight of your shoulder into it and screw it in little by little, each screw evenly, it goes on just fine.
I really think they could have done a bit better with pointing them more towards the bed. But it doesn’t shine any more in your face than the OEM style with LED bulbs in it. It’s just REALLY bright. Again, I would have preferred a few things to be different but for $180 to not have FOB issues...
Ok so those bed lights are pretty dang bright. Almost blindingly bright. But better than too dim. They could be pointed a bit lower towards the bed. But again I am happy with them.
Ha. No I just used it to get them about 3/4 way in. There’s a lot of threads on those screws and I’m lazy. I hand tightened them down. I was super careful and worried about cracking it. But the unit is pretty stout. I got them tight as I was comfortable with. But they were pretty damn tight.
Alright just got the light and got it installed. Looks pretty good. The brake light is definitely bright even in the middle of the day. The cargo lights, I’m not quite sure as it’s daylight but they appear to not be as bright as my old LED bulbs. They do however look like they have a bit of a...
Anybody ever encounter an issue with the cable that slides the rear glass coming loose and sticking up like this? I’m not sure if it’s supposed to have this much play or not. And if so shouldn’t it go down and not up? I can’t really find a way to stuff it back down in the body without it coming...
That’s good to hear. The only thing I wonder about it the cargo light output on this unit? The various LEDs I tried in the OEM unit, while causing FOB errors were rather bright. How’s the output on the new unit? Does it light up the bed pretty well?
Well I’m sold. I used the ‘getlit’ code and got them out the door for $187. I had been looking at the OEM unit for quite some time but can’t justify the cost especially since no one has been able to get the camera to work on the
‘19s. I’ve had some of interference with every type of LED bulb...
I recently replaced my original windshield wipers on my 2019 Ram 1500. I went with Bosch replacement wipers. I really don’t like them very much. I tried looking up Mopar OEM wipers and they look just like the Bosch. One big long piece of rubber. I have attached a couple pics of the original...
I’d like to know if this is possible too. I have passive entry from the factory but this would help with unlocking the back doors if it would just unlock when I approach.
Is the sensor that checks for light behind you in the rear view mirror glass? I have very dark tinted windows, which I think blocks light from hitting the sensor sometimes. My mirrors do dim, and when they do they work well, but there’s no rhyme or reason to when they dim and when they don’t...
I know I know. But it shouldn’t be too far off for what these trucks cost. Overall I’m happy with my truck but a good ***** session once in a while makes me feel a bit better.
The lower tilt lets you see your wheel. But it goes so low you can’t see what’s actually behind you. It’s nearly unusable. I wish there was a way to adjust the level it goes to. Or just have one mirror move. My wife’s Mercedes’ widens and lowers just the passenger mirror. It’s way nicer.
I bought this off Amazon. Little pricey but not too much more expensive than to buy everything at Home Depot especially since I didn’t need extra hose or clamps. Took 10 mins to install. AC works great now in this Texas heat. Prior I would be sweating while driving.
I apologize if this has been covered. I know there’s a few posts in adding passive entry but there’s over a thousand posts between the threads.
I have a 19 Laramie 1500. It has passive entry. Only on the front drivers and passenger doors. Is there a way to add it to the rear doors as well. My...
