"Steering column/breaking"...I meant "braking" 😂 (i.e. happens while turning and breaking at the same time but only on sharp right turns on highway clover leafs)
For the RL 3.5" Lift - https://www.readylift.com/3-5-sst-lift-kit-2019-ram-1500-4wd-1.html. Shop installed everything but the 2" preload coil spacer (just the 1.5" top hat spacer).
I believe part # for Bilstein Ride Height Adjustable shock for 2019-2021 Ram 1500 is 24-232203 B8 5100 (others on...
Yeh think you nailed it with proper torque. Proper torque setting for suspension components (particularly lifted/leveled suspensions) is so critical to drive quality. Believe Sway bar components are 35 lb-ft. At least that's what I torqued mine too based on ReadyLift torque specs.
Recommend search this forum since there’s a lot of good posts/info on this subject already. To avoid suspension component and fender rubbing it’s highly recommend go no wider than 11.5-11.8” tires on our trucks.
Does it have larger aftermarket tires? If so the speedometer may not have been recalibrated.
Run a GPS speedo app while driving to determine actual GPS speed, then you’ll know which is off.
I experienced the same issue as BiG. Started with .25" slide-on spacers, no resolve, then .5" and was good but experienced un-nerving vibration, so I went ahead and got 1.5" hub-centric, bolt-on adapters/spacers. The hub-centric, bolt-on style stopped the vibration but I'm still not a big fan of...
Yep, as others stated no stud trimming with 1.5" spacers. I went with that all around...Now kinda wishing I went 2" all around...Seems to be common wheel spacing for our Rams, and all the pics of look really good.
Yeh I get it with rough roads and articulation...Guess I'm fortunate with my commute being mostly highway with fairly decent roads however, when I do hit the occasional bumps, potholes, I don't get that bouncier feel but responds firm, planted like a large BMW sedan (my wife has 5 series I can...
Have mine at setting #5 but thinking of dropping to #4 for rake. At some angles #5 looks a tad nose high, but then at others perfectly level. I’m wondering would dropping it a little improve MPGs or is it insignificant.
If just leveling highly recommend installing Bilstein 5100 ride height adjustable shocks only without spacers. That way not putting metal on metal spacer which is what affects ride quality. Ton of info on this forum about Bilstein 5100s. Just do a search.
Break-in period...Give it time. I think all our trucks experience some quirkiness during first 5,000 miles. Think mine did too but at just over 5K miles now she’s smooth as butter.
Not sure why not just putting on firmest setting. To me that’s what I got it for - maximum handling. Just do it and you’ll see. Drives totally flat/tight around corners like a German luxury car...And that’s with a 3.5” lift. Can’t imagine what it feel like with no lift, stock.
Also when ordering if you let them know you plan to reuse OEM bolts they’ll send you end links with smaller sleeves replaced in top bushings. That’s what I did.
