Guess that was just the initial mpg adjustment but with no load in the rear I’m now averaging in the 15s. I kind of don’t really worry about anymore. It’s a Hemi and drives good.
Did the exact same cutting as BlueStreak (35” tires, 3.5” lift, and 1.5”wheel spacers all around). Track/Protrusion looks the same on all four (both axles). Perhaps because of the lift. I wouldn’t mind going 2” spacers all around for wider looking stance, but once I installed the 1.5” and got...
4 or 5 is recommended with 3.5 ReadyLift SST kit to make level. Mine is 2wd so I’d think 3 or 4 is probably right with ORP (if ORP already comes with inch more lift vs 2wd).
mcp, I only had rubbing with front, but added 1.5” spacers on all four so stance is same all around. I know my lift kit stated MINIMUM +18mm offset, so stock wheels at +19 was already a no go. Also 295/60 is shorter tire vs 295/65 and shorter, narrower tires helps mitigate rubbing. I like look...
More costly to incrementally increase. If you have the slightest desire to lift/increase tire size from stock, go the biggest you desire ONCE and be done. Trust me it’ll save money, time, and hassle in the long run and you can just enjoy your truck.
Ride is awesome (in my subjective opinion 😂)...No I’m sure on a smoothness factor nothing compares to stock setup but for 3.5” lifted truck with 35’s it rides pretty smooth. Mine are load range E1.
295/65/20 NRG’s on stock 20” Night Edition rims (2wd 1500 with 3.5” lift)...It works, just a lot of trimming with my setup to prevent rubbing (including removing rear mud flaps from front wheel wells). From what I’ve read here from folks with 4wd and ORP/ORG you may not have to trim as much.
54 and I too have gone back and forth on this. Our 5th gens are damn good looking and ride so smooth stock. After having 3.5” lift, larger tires, etc I’ll occasionally see one stock (unlifted) and think ‘wow, bet he or she is enjoying smooth ride, not having to make wide, 3-point turns due to...
I experienced same. Firmest setting is only way to go for me. Drives flat in corners, turns, and lane changes like a sports car without wallow, rolling, and bouncing of a normal truck. Pretty amazing.
