Hey BDS, still an isolated incident caused by my vehicles "salvage title" or "direct impact"
Anyone know how many "isolated" incidents are needed before we file a class action suit? Join the club here...
@FishOn @RAMROB91
Going with the "broad" approach here... Many of these tend to domino into each other, so I'm calling it "one" upgrade.
1. Motor - Pulsar, CAI, Exhaust, catch can, etc.
2. Suspension - Lift, wheels, tires, brakes
3. Beats - Full audio upgrade, amp/sub add
4. Body - Bumpers, side steps, grill...
I tend to drive this more like a lowered Civic in the hills, so the brakes would start to fade when I was really romping the throttle between the curves.... So far, I haven't noticed it once with the PS kit.
It'd be rad if they get the videos of him in the Charger, the Raptor, etc. doing the same things and tack those on to the charges... Being a full time toolbag should hurt from time to time, IMO...
Nothing worth noting... Added the CAI, the Pulsar, TBS, exhaust all at the same time so it'd be difficult to say where the gains came in. Sounds cooler than stock when you stomp on it though.
Since it's my daily driver, it's really not an option to pull the passenger side without having a replacement on hand. BDS has given me enough grief over the legitimate failure that I can only imagine what it would take to get a "loaner" BJ so they could analyze this one... And another $200 to...
That hasn't necessarily been my experience, historically... If you do things right, you typically get what you pay for. This is the first time I've ever been let down by a product from a higher end off-road company, and there have been some pretty heavily modified vehicles under this hind end...
My thoughts, exactly. I don't know what their situations are like, but I passed along the email response I got from BDS to @RAMROB91 to see if he could get his from the shop before it was tossed out...
Obviously there isn't any "certainty" to what gave way first... But the only thing that was changed was the suspension lift. Either the upper or lower went, and snowball effect from there. It's interesting that there are now 3 (just on our forum) examples of BDS UCSa being involved in...
I would agree that BDS is still good stuff and that these are probably fairly isolated incidents. BDS/Fox/Moog have all carried good names for many years and you don't get that reputation by building P.O.S. parts... Doesn't mean I'm not bummed, though. My intent was strictly to share my...
