If I updated my uconnect 4 8.4” to uconnect 5 12.1” can you still provide a manual software update? I upgraded the radio knowing I wouldn’t be able to update over WiFi but now the continual pop up telling me I may have an update is driving me nuts…😒🤦🏻‍♂️🤣

Biggest place I’ve seen issues with air suspension is cold weather after the 2nd or 3rd year. No personal experience, as I’ve stayed away from it for this reason. Living in NW MT both my buddies with air suspension (1 limited and 1 Rebel) have ended up on bump stops more than a few times...

It should. I think it’s actually listed as off-road group, but I’m not 100%. Should also have the 4x4 off-road sticker on the bed unless the original owner/dealer removed it. Here’s mine for example.

Offroad package will come with a one inch lift stock from factory, some additional skid plates, a locking rear differential and some other odd ball things if that helps you in your research.

Probably going to depend on a little more info…OEM vs aftermarket wheels, width of the tire, etc. but my 285/65/R20 KO2’s fit on my stock Laramie with off-road package and OEM wheels. Have zero issues now that I’ve added the Cali-Commuter to the equation. Hope that helps.

Not the expert on this but I did do the upgrade myself and my understanding is nothing will work correctly without the correct module to go with the 12”. I would just leave you 8.4” in until you have everything to do the swap. Pretty straight forward once you have everything you need. Hope...

My understanding is you only need to update the BCM model year if you have surround view camera. I honesty don’t know all that much about it and can’t take credit for the fix, I just know that it worked for me with zero issues and screen works exactly as it should. Give it a try. Worst case...

I had/have both of these issues. Making sure the vehicle year in the BCM was appropriately changed back to the year of manufacture (2019 for me) solved my backup guidelines issue. I just realized yesterday after reading another forum that I no longer have the “hitch camera” and haven’t figured...

I know this is a thing and may be ok with it, but did you ever figure out what the actual “cause” is? Lose a sensor, wrong signal from the BCM? Mostly curiosity at this point as I try and learn my way around more DIY projects.

Curious if you lose any other factory features other than the dimming side mirrors?

Nice! I have been looking for a review or comparison between this and the regular rebel but there aren't a lot of these out there yet. Looking forward to any feedback down the road.

I was looking at this exact same camera as I wanted to add a front camera in addition to rear view to see past my topper but was concerned about losing some OEM stuff like auto wipers, side dimming mirrors, etc. Nice job with the retrofit! 🤙🏼
