If you drive like me, a 26 gallon tank will get me 400 miles. Now if you tow, 33 would be the way to go when a tank would only get you 200 miles, the extra 100 miles would be worth it. Laters

The avs instructions show that is how they are installed. You see by the molded plastic that it fits perfectly in between the rubber .
Here you go, I did look at the weather tech instructions and theirs does go completely in the channel. But maybe he needs...
When Installed mine, I put the tab in between the rubber and the doors B pillar (on mine it is black), You looks like it might be in the track. It could be different brand with different install instructions. Laters
