The temperature sensor is on the bottom of the driver side-view mirror, near the 360 camera. The whole mirror housing gets heat soaked when the sun is beating directly on it. This awful location is why our temps read so high and inaccurately. Most vehicles I’ve had in the past have it mounted in...
Funny, this happened to us yesterday. We were driving up I-45 near Houston. AC was set to Lo cool, mode to face, fan on level 4 and recirc on. AC was working perfectly for the first 15 minutes into the trip, then it suddenly went into defrost mode on its own. It also turned the fan and...
Wasn’t one of the negative impacts of the TSB is that the temperature range for pre-cooling the cabin when remote-start is used is not as good as original? Living in Houston, I use my remote start all the time and certainly would not want to negatively impact that function. I plan to keep this...
The closer I look at the details and design of this truck, the more I am impressed. My brother-in-law just purchased a brand new 2022 Silverado. The GM quality and design don’t even come close, even to my 2019.
I'm sure that others of you have found this out already, however I have been owning this limited for 3 years now and just noticed this little Easter egg this morning while detailing. The carpet sections of the floor mats are attached with snaps, and can be easily removed for hosing the rubber...
There is a TSB for this. Dealer needs to perform software update to correct problem. Many of us here had the exact issue. Simple fix and you don’t have to replicate the problem for the dealer. Just tell them the issue and they will reprogram in less than 30 minutes. TSB 08-137-21
I bought a brand new ZL1 in 2018. The only thing that sucked on that thing was the fuel economy if you kept your foot in it😉 but I could get almost 26 mpg on highway if I babied it😎. Performance, build quality and comfort were stellar in that sweet ride! I know in first two model years (2016 &...
I concur with Richard as this being a possible cause. The evaporator coil would slowly build ice, which would incrementally cause more and more restriction of air-flow through the coil box, up to the point that the ice builds up enough to completely block air-flow. You would still hear the fan...
Yes, when I receive a call, the AC fan drops down to a quiet level so that I can focus on the call without hearing too much fan noise. The fan goes back to the selected setting, once the call is concluded.
Once the truck was broken in beyond 3K miles and acclimated to my driving, I have run the fuel level down low enough once or twice to have the “range” down to about 10 miles. Tank took just over 30 gallons to fill. My range goes up to ~570 miles with full tank. On long hwy trips cruising between...
I know some garage door openers can only accommodate a certain number of transmitters. I ran into this with both my Genie openers. I’m not certain how many they can hold, but when I tried to use both genie transmitters, two cars (home link), a motorcycle and another battery transmitter mounted...
Wow! I love how those wheels/tires look on your truck, one of the best looking setups I've seen! Makes me think I might have liked the silver better than my color, especially since silver stays cleaner looking after driving on rainy days.
