Congrats on the new truck! Once you get a little more comfortable navigating the forum, I’m sure everyone would appreciate a picture of your ride. Especially once you get the wheels set up to your liking!
Welcome to the forum!
No one ever said you would lose this feature. You like to make extreme statements and ignore the facts. The auto-climate problem reported by many who have had the TSB is that the outside temperature range at which the cooling turns on is much higher than before the TSB. So on really hot days it...
One thing I may be overlooking on this TSB is the process by which they replace the evaporator coil and other components. Early on, this TSB required the removal of the ENTIRE dash board! Way too many things to be broken or screws to be lost in the process, especially when the tech has a time...
🤣🤣😂 Tennessee??? Man, that ain’t the south!!! TN is where people go to vacation from the south!!
Seriously though, I know it can get warm and muggy in TN, but I have lived most of my life in New Orleans and Houston. Maybe I should have said “Deep South”😂. EVERYONE I know uses auto-climate...
You stated, and I quote, “Anyone debating it, its worth it.” In your own words, you have recommended that others debating this decision to do it because it’s worth it. Therefore, you have now subjugated that risk to others and basically telling them there is no risk because it is “worth it”. So...
I and others in the south use auto-climate every day! My post was just to inform those who may be debating this decision that there may be negative consequences and that the BEST way to get the absolute lowest temperature from their system is the valve hack, which eliminates heated coolant from...
Something to keep in mind as has been reported by people on this forum that following the TSB, the cabin “auto climate” with remote start does not work as well as before. The temperature range at which the heat or cool function activates is greatly widened! This may be corrected in the newest...
Yes, 1/3 is the size but it does the job well. Ram used very crisp cameras on this system and I am able to get into some very tight spots effortlessly.
Sorry I don’t have a solution for you, however I agree that there are way too many “nannies” controlling things that used to be at the discretion of humans 😉. They design newer vehicles to protect idiots and take away all of our fun😂
I remember a toy when I was young called the verti-bird sea...
OP’s windshield looks like hard-water stains to me. As others have already mentioned, vinegar is the solution! Hard-water left to dry in the sun will deposit calcium and other minerals, which are very difficult to buff off. Vinegar is acidic and dissolves the minerals very easily. Just mix...
I think this is pretty sick and I may try one out in a few years, if it makes it to market looking and performing as revealed👍👍
For now, I have a 2023 Jeep Wrangler 392 XR on order to thrash around in old school fashion till the electrics get cooler😎
Good practice! If you do this with your vehicle from day one, you will NEVER have an odor problem…with ANY vehicle. The process you are doing dries out any moisture from the evaporator coil and doesn’t give any microorganisms a chance to create mold! I am 56 years old and have learned this the...
Actually, many car models use thermoelectric technology to cool the seats, instead of just a vent fan moving cabin air through the seats. I have owned several vehicles with this technology, including a 2009 Buick Enclave and a 2014 GMC Sierra Denali. The AC seats work way better that the regular...
Install the “hack”. Much better AC performance than the TSB, without all the risk exposure of the TSB. No matter what anyone says, the TSB is a very involved process with many steps and risk of something being broken and/or not tightened correctly during the reinstallation of dash components...
