I think part of the looks of the Rebel is the more aggressive tire. A highway tread tire would look funny on a Rebel in my opinion.

I don't think it will be an issue where I cut the rail. The rails are cut on the tailgate end from the factory in the same fashion. The cab end is where I am just likely to get water intrusion from. I definitely do not think this top will be water proof, probably not as good as the Backflip MX4...

Installed a Bak revolver X4
