Post 29 doesn't specify idle, fan speed, or anything. You do realize they could set the rpm to 2k to emulate a driving condition, etc right? I'm not talking about pressure in the system and having gauges out. I'm asking do we know for sure that the vent temps in post 29 are, in fact, supposed to...
True. I'm trying to imagine how it would create ping...seems like if anything it would actually increase your octane by introducing less combustible material
This sounds terrible. Hopefully you can get it sorted out. I haven't heard of this and don't have anything to contribute, other than to remember your lemon laws...I believe in California (not sure where you are) if you go in to have something fixed that could cause major injury/death two times...
I was wondering about that...overall it's less than a foot longer than the short bed so I was hopeful there wouldn't be too much difference. Going offroad in a 21+ foot truck is pretty wild and seems limited to forest road and such
I was able to get the shudder to happen a few times yesterday. What I think is happening is that it isn't coming out of eco mode so I am basically accelerating with only half the motor, at low speed, in a high gear (3rd, 4th, or 5th) making it bog down.
haha jUsT iGnOrE FaCTs aND LoGiC. ok, bud. you literally made a post bitching about other people bitching, and you obviously missed the irony of that...then, you made another post bitching about me because I was making fun of you bitching about people bitching. i love it! you really are too...
Very true. It's important to know the spec temps for each scenario (idle and highway) if we are going to accurately diagnose whether or not our ACs are performing properly.
your engine temp is the coolant temp in your radiator, not the temp of the engine block and oil -- you could see the oil temp when you turn your truck on. My point was that heat isn't cumulative when you have an active cooling system that dissipates heat effectively. High outside temps basically...
Oh man, I considered the eTorque, too. Sitting at a stoplight watching my mpg go from 15.1 to 15 to 14.9 had me rethinking skipping the eTorque. I was just wasn't clear on what would happen if the etorque system failed, especially offroad or in remote areas. In the end, I went with the straight...
While I don't disagree with your analysis, the numbers vary drastically depending on the situation. For example, if I am doing all HWY driving with CA gas/diesel prices I would recoup the cost from the ED upgrade in about 50k miles...or half of what your model shows. Another way to look at it...
Different perspective, but not using 4x4 unless you have to has led to many stuck vehicles. Use 4x4 before you "have to" and you can sometimes save yourself a good bit of trouble.
