I noticed the engine oil indicator on my RAM 1500 instrument cluster is exactly half position between Low and Full. Is this expected for a new RAM 1500 eco diesel? Can we fill it up to full by ourselves instead of waiting for the next oil change? Thanks!

I watched some online video and apparently RAM 2500 high trims all come with standard 110v power outlet in the truck bed. RAM 1500 high trims should be the same as 2500 which is probably the only thing Ford F-150 does better than RAM 1500 :)

I heard Ram box adds extra ~150lb and MFT adds extra ~100lb compared with regular tailgate w/o ram box. So two if equipped decreases total payload by ~250lb. For normal RAM 1500, typical payload is around 1500b. And ~250lb decrease would represent more than 15% payload cut. Can anyone confirm...

For RAM 1500 eco diesel, the GVWR is 7200lb and combined front and rear axle weight is 8000lb(3900+4100). Do you know why GVWR is 800lb less than combined axle weight? I would assume they should be very close, correct?

Good to know. They also take care of truck shipping if you don't fly and drive. This is really hassle free. I wish I had known them before I purchased from my local dealers here.

I'm curious,when Mark Dodge sold the truck, did they take care of regitration for your own redident state and hence you may need to pay full car sales tax as well as title/registration fees in your own resident state? or did they issue you a LA plate and pay LA car sales tax...
