New Port Richey/Pasco county. There’s quite a few of us in central Florida or even all of Florida. I didn’t think this forum was that widespread. Anyone down to plan a meet or lunch or something that could be central for all of us? Depending on who is down from what areas.
So for educational purposes, I’ll explain.
I just used the magnifying glass on the upper right of this forum. I searched “fuse diagram.” the 4th thread from the top has this in it. Enjoy...
I think his position is when it winds up to 4k-ish to accelerate harder it gets louder. When he drove my truck around he was surprised of the instant torque off idle and the difference between the ED and the Hemi.
Hemi isn’t obnoxious by any means. But it is louder than the ED. That’s all I...
I love how large the interior is. I’m 6’3 and I fit in the front and back seat comfortably with others that are 6’ tall. The rear seats recline slightly by the bottom bench sliding forward, allowing the rear to cant back. That’s pretty cool. It rides very smooth. I know I have the diesel but I...
I haven’t confirmed with the gallons/miles driven division, as I’ve seen some say that the MPG gauge is a lie-o-meter. But I can say I’m with the 30+ club, I drove from Tampa FL to Nashville at 70mph exactly on cruise control. I got 31.6mpg at the end of the trip one way. I love this diesel. I...
I’m just saying the truck has a safety net and safely engages the gears when it deems is ok. I’ll engage it in the rain at 50 mph with no sounds or signs of stress.
Yep. You can shift at 70mph to 4-hi. The truck does the work for you. Every other month I’ll test 4-hi just to keep the transfer case working if I don’t get a hard rain to drive in.
I haven’t changed my fuel filter ever. 33k miles. I’ll open the drain valve and there’s nothing but 2 drops of water. Here in west Florida we have a major port that distributes fuel. I think the quality isn’t bad. Changing the filter is on my list of sh!t to do but it’s not very high. Next oil...
This happened to me about 2 months after purchasing new. Sat on it annoyed but careless for 8 months. Went to the dealer, it worked for about 2 more weeks. Sat on it for another 3 months or so. Went to the dealer a second time to reprogram… it’s worked fine for 3-4 months now.
I would have loved to. Maybe the dealers around me are snobby. I walked into 3 different Ram dealers and tried to convince them to order me one, the refused and said its not possible. I tried!
Bought in November 2021. Now has 30k miles. Used 2/3 for towing a 6,000 pound travel trailer around, 1/3 used for running errands. Not a singe issue. Not even water leaking in the rear window/3rd brake light. Im very glad I bought the ED. I actually talked a buddy into selling his power wagon...
They’re bone stock R/T chargers. The police packages have different settings in the behavior of the transmissions when the car is being used heavily, like our tow mode to keep RPM’s bumped up a little. An upgraded alternator. No governor as he’s told me it stops accelerating at 150mph due to...
Isn't the job of all modern tech on all these new cars/trucks is to “listen” to knock/timing? Yes, owners manuals can “recommend” 110 octane, however, if you put 87 in an engine with variable timing, it will just retard all the way and compensate for it. It can cost very minimal power but does...
Yeah, not acceptable. I don’t care what they can and can’t do. If they’re a full-service dealer, they can figure out a way to diagnose your issue. Sounds like they’re shoving the issue off because they don’t want to deal with a warranty claim.
