@31RamIt your making the truck work but not necessarily pushing the limits.
What they other members are saying is that anytime you change something it can effect the payload. Adding SPRUNG weight (weight that is above the springs) decreases the payload...heavier wheels do not as that is...
well...i have the same tow capacity / gears / engine as you and I tow my 6k-6.5k lbs 30ft TT with a tongue weight of 750lbs ish. With a WDH the truck did perfectly fine...though to be fair I recently put on the cargo max rear springs and was a MASSIVE improvement over the airlift bags in the...
im sure there are but unless your willing to disassemble the front struts your not replacing them easily. If your fronts are rotted out then yea, otherwise id just replace those rears. They simple pull down and to the side to pop out....or crumble out in your case. Then the new ones you push up...
I %100 grew up being told to put the % symbol in front of the number %100 of the time. 🤷♂️ Also %100 unconcerned if its correct or not as the point is %100 obvious to anyone who reads it. But I %90 hope your odd and out of place correction comment made ya feel 70% better if you were feeling...
last update incase anyone ends up searching for info on the 5100s and finds this thread.
The combination of the 5100s with the cargomax springs is absolutely amazing. The truck drives just as smooth as it did when new, but far less floaty feeling. And it handles my travel trailer FAR BETTER...
+1 for this way...
Especially with such a short drive IMO its better to take half per trip and KNOW FOR SURE the truck is within spec and will drive/handle as expected. Yea its a short drive...but one of a handful of mottos in life I stick to is to do what I can afford when I have the choice...
Unless i missed it in the owners manual, Or it changed for the 24s, the recommended fuel for the 5.7 hemi is 89 (mid grade) but it says 87 is acceptable. 85 is a nogo

these made the whole job WAY easier. Only thing I wish I had was the 21mm ratcheting wrench. Ill be grabbing one soon though.
not hard at all. I used a decent set of compressors and I appose the direction the ratchet attachment is on. No real logic to that but ive always done it and been successful. The install was straight forward and easy since I took my time and drank heavily the entire after noon.
the 893s are phenomenal. I gained about 1 1/4in over my stock measurements. But given how it can change and my ever present human error..I’m sure I really only gained the 1 inch that’s advertised with the springs. The ride is ever so slightly stiffer for daily driving but noticeably better while...
job complete! Taking my time overall it really wasn’t that hard. I appreciate the last little bit of advice from y’all. Watching a ton of videos and thinking it through for a couple weeks before actually doing the job really really helped because it just was smooth as it could’ve been.
One...
FWIW
I decided to just go with the stock ride height. After measuring and overthinking and flip flopping for weeks i was undecided up until today.
I had my TT at my house and needed to get it back to storage. I used the opportunity to gather some more measurements. I have the WDH dialed in...
Ty! Ive had jeeps for years so i am VERY familiar with quality spring compressors. I have a set that I spent a good bit on. I actually used them to help install my first set of cargo max springs so I know they’re good enough to handle springs rated higher than the OEM ram springs for sure...
ty for the clarification. I was planning on having it checked anyway after it all, but especially if i end up adding the 0.5in...which im hoping only adds less than 0.5in
did you do the whole battery relearn process? I just replaced my battery and was warned to be sure to follow it otherwise rando issues will crop up. Ill post the screen shot I took of the process when I get back to my phone in case you need it.
The minor variations in the 14's arent...
