My 4th gen was a 2017 so it also had the 8 speed, I think I've heard someone say they changed some of the gear ratios between the 4th and 5th gen 8 speeds, so that could play a roll. It really feels like they've softened the gear changes or something.
The 4th gen would hit hard and pull, the...
I feel like my 4th gen was faster, which makes no sense since my 4th gen had 3.21 gears, and my DT has 3.92's, is lighter, and more aerodynamic, with otherwise the same drivetrain. All I can assume is they changed up how the transmission shifts, or maybe throttle response. Because it just...
Ahhh I didn’t realize it was a longhorn. Also didn’t know you couldn’t get them color matched. Thats almost disappointing that it’s only an option on the lower trimmed trucks.
So how does one go about removing the hood badges? I’ve already swapped the tailgate and grill badges to black, and removed the stick on “RAM” from the doors, but the hood ones have me concerned since idk how they are held on
I wish I’d have thought of that. But they probably wouldn’t have bit for me since they worked a minor miracle getting me out of my 2017 lease and into the new 2019 just because I found the exact one I was looking for online when shopping for my wife’s grand Cherokee.
Glad to see a new star pub. I screen shot the number so I can take that to my dealer when I take my truck in. Provided the service department ever returns my call anyways.
I really need to make an appointment with my dealer to get my truck in for this. Only 2 complaints I have with it are th clunk, and the lackluster ac performance. And I’d really like th clunk gone asap so I can put a leveling kit on it lol
Awesome thanks everyone. I’ve got a friend at a local dealership, hopefully he can get me a better price on any kind of programming that needs done for it to work.
Man, best I can manage straight highway at 70mph is about 19mpg. My mixed mostly city some highway is mid 14’s to low 15’s.
The 2017 I traded in would get 24-26mpg at 70mph on long trips.
Does anyone know if it’s possible to buy and add the factory trailer brake controller on a truck that didn’t come with it? My truck has virtually everything I wanted, except the brake controller, so I’d like to add the factory one if it’s not too difficult to do.
I know aftermarket is probably...
I got it done yesterday, had some free time while my son napped. My front 2 were easy as they were already ahead of the cross bar. The rear ones were a little more time consuming. But definitely wasn’t too hard, just a little tedious.
Cover still seems to have a tiny gap at the rear, but it’s...
I haven’t seen quite a few colors in person, haven’t seen patriot blue, that Forrest green color, silver, gray, or the bright red.
All I have seen (and in abundance) was white, black, delmonico red, and 2 blue streaks with chrome trim. Mine is the only blue streak sport I’ve seen so far.
As much as I hate to say it, as I work for FCA, these are commonplace problems. Not sure about for other brands, but I know the plant I work in, the supervisors all push quantity over quality. The idea is that the repair areas at the end of the line will fix any issues that get through before...
I’m probably gonna give this a shot tomorrow or Monday. The loose seal has bothered me since I left the dealership. I can literally see a gap on mine with everything closed. I attempted to move the latches once. But with no idea what I was getting myself into I stopped and tightened everything...
Thanks! My wife was definitely a strong supporter of the blue streak, second for both of us was Delmonico red, and then white. All with the sport package and black housing LED headlights. Glad I went with the blue in the end.
I also feel my A/C in my 2019 Ram 1500 is underperforming compared to the 2017 Ram 1500 I traded in. It takes a long time to get the cab to a comfortable temperature, and the auto function just wants to keep the fan on full blast all the time pretty much no matter what the temperature is set to...
I should start this off by saying, I have no experience with Toyota. However, I was so blown away by the 2019 ram 1500 that I traded in my 2017 Ram 1500, with 7,600 miles to get the 2019. I loved my 17, and I didn’t expect the 19 to feel or be much different. But all the little improvements...
Mine hasn’t done that yet, but my unlike my 2017 which after a few minutes would slow down the blower, this one on auto just seems to stay full blast the entire time. Idk why the newer truck seems to have a less useful auto climate control, but I’m hoping it figures itself out, or they release...
