I guess that's entirely possible. I'd prefer to think they would not want to put themselves in a position of creating a whole bunch of warrantied AC repairs, and tend to shy away from conspiracy theories altogether. Then again, I probably am a little over trusting in general.
If it is bean...
Full disclosure that I'm not an AC technician. But everything I've read states as little as 10% overcharge is likely to cause compressor failure. This is up for debate.
On the other hand I am pretty good at math. A 57g overcharge to an intended 510g capacity system is just over 11% overcharge...
And in the process, that fried his ac compressor from an apparent refrigerant overcharge, and he was told the compressor part was then on back order. Folks are just trying to nail down the entire situation.
I'm a little contrarian by nature, and feel this whole AC issue is nowhere near as...
With such extreme driving habits and the unlimited miles provided by the policy, you definitely increase the time window by which you are protected. For sure, different conditions affect the potential benefits differently.
But to be transparent your peace of mind isn't $100, but costs the...
I've got the Mopar hard trifold that leans on the glass. Only hits in two spots, each attached with rubber bumper. The rubber doesn't leave any marks and the tonneau gets nowhere near the painted cab surface.
It's more than just vent temps though. The volume of hot air exchanged for colder air is just as, if not more important. I'm going to go out on a limb and say if the actual temperature in any of our cabs were at 44-48 degrees we would be turning on our heaters.
I've owned 7 vehicles ('88 Mercury Topaz, '98 Ford F150, '01 Ford F150, '01 GMC Sierra, '05 Pontiac G6, '13 Dodge Durango, and new '19 Ram 1500). Ran the Topaz into the ground, totaled the '98, gifted the '01 F150 to my mom who uses it as a daily driver to this day, and still own the other 4...
In that example the warranty would pay for itself.
However, the reality is the odds of that happening are few and far between. For an expensive cost like that (typically powertrain), you are paying for a really small 2 to 3 year coverage window, since it is already covered up to 5 years...
I was using the pricing example from the included quotation on common bumper to bumper repairs the original poster brought up, rationalizing the cost of an extended warranty.
Yes, repairs can be mode costly. However, those types of costs are typically associated with engine and powertrain...
Minus your $100 deductible, per occurance, you benefit $300 to $500. You'd need 3 to 5 of these claims just to break even. No shade thrown towards those buying extended warranties, but in most cases they aren't needed, and are a money sink.
I'd rather put the $1600 - $1800 in an interest...
Far right one should be the one. I'm almost positive it is light sensitive. Tried it first at night while trying ti get kids to sleep. Kicks in automatically and dims screen every time I pull into the garage now.
I didn't have the spray in liner, so can't help you there. I absolutely love the Bedrug though. Had never heard of it until finding this forum. I'm a full fledged convert now!
