My dealer built my Limited diesel order with a 6’4” bed before we caught it and changed to the shorter one which is what we wanted but there doesn’t seem to be a problem ordering it with the longer bed.
Our diesel 1500 is replacing or diesel Grand Cherokee. The wife will drive it most to very local work and of course we will use it for trips and I’ll steal it to take the Mustang to the track. We’ve always liked having the diesels along with other cars short or long but of course that’s just us.

The lower bracket is the stock bracket located at the forward top corners of the bed when the truck has the MFT. The upper bracket is an aftermarket bracket made by Right On Bracket intended to maintain support and allow aftermarket covers that would otherwise not fit. I linked the site below...

It can be turned off in settings though so it just works manually for set and release, right? I thought I remembered reading that in the manual. Don’t have my truck yet so can’t test it.
Just got a call from my dealer (Aaron at Mark Dodge) and was informed my truck is in trim and should be out to them this week supposedly. Ordered 12/28 so quicker than I thought. Progress beyond my expectations.
Also oddly, I can’t pull a build sheet or window sticker yet.
Plenty of cat back setups that can stay within respectable limits and plenty that can be obnoxiously loud. How you drive it and what you do in front of cops makes all the difference.
