Every Blackstone labs reports I’ve seen on this forum was with Pennzoil, and the results are never impressive.
I have been using Shell Rotella T6 and it would be interesting to see lab reports using Shell oil. 63,000km or 40,000miles and still going as good as new.
You must have the 5.7 Hemi, this tread was for the Ecodiesel, the oil filter is on top of the engine, so the undercarriage should not get oil from the filter if done properly.
I had my truck’s 4th oil change done at the same dealership and have never encountered oil drips, I would know if it would drip because my truck is parked in my garage every day/night. The only thing I noticed on the last oil change was the greasy hand prints on the hood and fender of my white...
I check Moparparts.com and the fuel pump for my Rebel is #68501449AA and it fits all Ecodiesel since 2014 but that part number replaces four other part numbers that has been in existence so obviously there have been changes to the pump. It lists at $1380 US. Hopefully it will last a long time.
It must be for the previous generation engine, it’s weird that they show the recall for the Jeep Grand Cherokee from 2014 to 2020, I thought the Diesel engine wasn’t available after 2018, I did do a search and that’s what it said, 2018 was the last year for the Diesel engine.
How long before the pump grenades? The manual states “the use of commercially available fuel additives are not necessary for the proper operation of the Diesel engine” I never used additives in my fuel or my engine oil in all my past vehicles and never had engine problem.
I remember the time...
The manual says that you will get water formation captured in the fuel filter when using biodiesel and the filter should be drained when you get a code to do so. It also specifies like someone else said to get oil changes earlier, so is it worth using other fuels than ULSD?
Personally I stay...
We did 10,600km (about 6,000 miles) this past summer going from Timmins Ontario Canada to Newfoundland Canada and back, 14L/100km or 20 mpg Canadian gallon or 17 mpg US gallon. All hand calculated. $2,800 worth of expensive fuel, average was $2.09/L or $9.49/gallon Canadian or $7.90 US gallon...
2020 Jayco 145RB it’s only 14 1/2 feet, tiny but has a shower and bathtub, toilet, AC on the roof, gas heater, gas/electric water heater, gas /electric fridge, two burner gas stove, plenty of storage space, a small sofa, a table that folds for the bed and power awning, we eliminated the table...
Of all the things that could spill in a truck, dish soap is probably the best smelling, and easily cleaned, my wife had a jug of vegetable oil spill on the carpet at the rear hatchback in her Jeep Cherokee, I soaked it up with rags the best that I could, thankfully it does not have much of a...
Old school, it just sounds odd for me. I also prefer using mpg verses L/100km. My Rebel get 9L/100km highway = 31 mpg Canadian gallon.
Hopefully this small displacement diesel will last as long as my previous trucks in years and as far in “kilometrage” as my old 1994 Caravan 3 L V6 at 300,000 km.
Sad news, I really like the range of 1,100 km on 100 L of diesel fuel. The range would be exceptional if a diesel electric hybrid was available. I was planning on keeping my truck for 5 more years but I will probably keep it for a longer period now, I had my first new 1996 Dodge Ram extended cab...
I have many Ridgid cordless 18 volts tools and many 120volt tools. Most tools are guaranteed for life once registered, I have 55 registered items in total. I’ve had nic/cad and lithium batteries replaced at no cost, and the replacement batteries are also guaranteed for life after registration...
It really does make a difference, I had towed my trailer for the time last year and was not impressed by the amount of wind drag it caused, I thought it would have been a lot easier to tow than my 8x16 flat nose enclosed tandem axle trailer, the camper trailer is 7x14 1/2 and has almost the same...
10.000km or 6,000 miles trip to Newfoundland Canada towing a small Jayco 145RB travel trailer.
Fab and installed an airstream skirt between the truck and trailer to improve aerodynamics, it has springs to allow to open when turning or to access the tailgate.
