It could be worse. The process for adjusting transmission fluid on my Jeep (no dipstick) requires running the vehicle then looking up the correct fill mark in a table based upon the temperature of the fluid then finally adding to that mark using a specially calibrated dipstick sold as a tool.
If you are going to use a final price including tax and fees, the same tax rate and fee's should be applied to the MSRP since MSRP is what the manufacturer feels you should pay them for the truck FOB with destination charges being mandatory above that. Title and taxes are to the state and...
Properly specified sealed (watertight) connectors would be the solution if this is actually the problem. Should be escallated as a recall if the wrong connectors were used or if they are defective. Pity the tier one who gets the bill.
The turn of the century New Hollands used 90 degree elbows made of Hydraulic hose at the oil cooler. When they fail, the pump just keeps on supplying oil till there is no more. Luckily all three times this happened, the pump survived. Only once was it in unattended and ran for a few hours...
I already have a 15KW PTO based generator as a backup for my house with energy monitoring installed on the main panel. While I would prefer a 24KW natural gas autoatic backup, 15KW gets the job done. If we ignore luxury items (machinery in my workshop or hot tub), my peak houshold power draw...
I think a potentially wrong assumption is the generator is operating at 220/240 with a nuetral. I wouldn't bet on that as the engineers will need to determine the most cost effective way to charge the batteri or run the powertrain. A better solution (for RAM profits) is to sell a seperate...
I doubt it. More likely it would be ruled that if you buy a pro scanner you already have the ability to diagnose & repair your own vehicle (assuming you can buy the necessary parts which even the dealers can't). When I first started watching this forum I couldn't believe how many people were...
If they are really going to build production units in 2Q25, they should have had hands-on at the autoshow. I saw no major reviews of an actual Ramcharger.
And a year ago the sentiment on this site was either people don't know how to use a dipstick or were too lazy to do so and thus it made sense to replace it with an electronic sensor. While I didn't mind the addition of a sensor, I argued the dipstick should have remained.
DEG, a basic question. I have been driving a Grand Cherokee CRD for 15 years and gasser GC's before that. I've always liked the way the 4WD/AWD handled on Michigan snow covered roards. Should I expect the same from a 1500 or is the 1500 transfer case setup and an empty bed result in a vehicle...
That truck needs some car friends in that big garage, it's kind of lonely. Also the floor is way too clean, a Model A should fix that relatively quick...
An article was posted on the home page with this title. Does it really make sense to take the hit in efficiency to convert 400V to 800V using an electric motor? I would think the added cost of energy required to run the conversion and loss of efficiency would make this futile. Also, since the...
The OP stated the truck was delvered by someone driving it 200 miles then commented he took it to the local dealer. If this is not the dealer who sold it, they may feel slighted and not want to p[rovide a loaner at dealer expense. RamCares may be the only way to get attention at stelantis for...
