Delmonico said yes. First he cut his bolt and it didn’t work. So he said no! Then he “dished” because his bolt was actually still hitting. Now his is fixed and he’s saying yes. Unless he came back afterwards and said no again. Look at the part numbers I posted , it’s more than just the bolts...
Post 342, I posted it. It’s just a few posts back. I’m shocked u didn’t see that post. Lalantodd seems to have ordered those parts for left side and just needs right side. Mine will be installed next week when the hurricane leaves. Left and right side will be replaced on mine.
Here are the parts my service manager ordered to fix his based off of the SB saying the bolts were too long. So mine are ordered and pending no hurricane in NC, my apt is next Wednesday (possible shipping delay). He wrote the part numbers down and held it out for me to snap a pic. See attached...
Delmonico gave us the service bulletin before he found out he had to “dish” out for his fix. The SB just didn’t have a fix. I don’t know what my guy did for his fix. Originally Delmonico cut his screw short and that didn’t work. I’ll be at the dealership in about 30-40 minutes. I’m off today so...
My service manager who has been having this same issue—-he emailed me and said his truck is fixed. I gave him the service bulletin about the cab bolts being too long. He didn’t say if he had to “dish” out ......all he said was “thanks a lot Brian, this fixed my truck.” So I’ll be calling this...
Having owned 3 GMCs back to 2003, I only see color similarities. And this is my first Ram. But I promise you, this Ram rides better than any GMC I've ever owned and on par with every german car I've ever owned.
But at the end of the day, there is only so much that can be done to a huge box on...
Makes me wonder how service dpts gonna fix “us” lol. Lifting cabs from frames and beating it with a hammer. :). I guess I’m just tired —end of work. I’m picturing them hanging my cab in the air by a crane and beating it. Lol
Yeah I hope this fix is reported. That’s how SB are released sometimes. A great technician finds the fix. I’ll let my SD know about the fix and hope a SB is released. Mine still is down to 1-3 clunks a day so it’s not too bad. Today has been none
I’m pretty smart but I don’t know how to adequately explain the issue and fix tobmy service dpt. I’m trying to understand the picture. And what was hitting it? I can’t imagine my SD doing this for me, and they’ve been great, off of me trying to tell them what to do.
No worries. I just called my advisor and he said he had to have “the guys” look it up and he’d call back. We’ll see.
And that bolt is the one I thought was lose when they tightened them all cuz its right under the foot.
This is a small sample size and we all seem to be affected. To be honest, that tells me there are soooooooo many more affected who are complaining —those who don’t visit forums. So this gives me optimism that FCA is aware by now and working a fix. Yes, I’m optimistic. For now, I’m clunking once...
I surely respect your view. However, I fully 100% trust mine. Each time I go in there with a "forum remedy" they actually try it. They don't tell me to get lost or "it's in my head" ....they did their fix to three trucks, including mine and all 3 owners, including me, thought it was fixed. Mine...
That’s a joke. My service manager said the star folks aren’t that smart. You just said the same thing so I’m like ——hey, are my service manager cuz he just told me that face to face —
