Grab the adapter directly from RetroShop. I’ve had mine for approx. a year at this point, and they’ve been great. One adapter did fail about three months in, but they shipped a new one the next day after some back and forth troubleshooting. It has been flawless since then. Highly recommended!
I'm averaging around 18 MPG between 75 and 85 on the highways and a city driving thrown into it. The warm weather has made it better, and I can only put that down to the tire pressure being raised due to added road heat. Less surface contact, less resistance, higher MPG. Simple. :)
I could...
I’ve mentioned in the past that the air coming out of my center vents is in the mid to upper 30s, no mod to the system. :)
I will check this again in the warmer days next week... if it has changed, I’ll let you all know.
I must have been really lucky with this truck. Mine is icy after literally a minute of turning on. It’s sat in the shade, but even at 90+ external temps it holds up nicely.
I feel the same way! I’ve learned a lot since first delving into even changing just the interior lights in my truck. I’m an IT guy through and through, and cars have probably taken over my passion for IT as of late. It’s always an expensive hobby... LOL!
I’m very comfortable paying $375 a month for my truck as it sits under a lease, and to be purchased in approx. 21 months.
As mentioned in a post above with regards to age and such; I’m a 27 year old male, and although I won’t give you my income... the wife and I bring in nearly six figures...
My RAM measured in the upper 30s from the vent last year... that’s “cold” by AC terms, I think. No mod done either, it came like that from the factory.
What he said. I beat on mine every so often and haven’t had any issues yet. How can you not punch it and hear that beast roar? Best sounding motor out there. :D
I use mine as a daily, and wouldn’t change it. The cost of gas is neither here nor there, you have to pay it anyway. It’s just a part of the “owning a truck experience” that you can’t get away from.
