    Beautiful build! Nice color!

    Price negotiated from MSRP

11.5% off MSRP and the truck has not even been produced yet!? Not too bad. Plus future rebates. Could you please list the options you got?

    Price negotiated from MSRP

Yeah, Rebels are hard to get a great deal on.

    Price negotiated from MSRP

Worst case - take their financing and refinance with your local FCU when you get the registration.

    Price negotiated from MSRP

    Exactly!

    Price negotiated from MSRP

I think I understand now. When they calculate your 11% or 12% off MSRP, the MSRP in that calculation does not include the freight figure of $1695 so they add it back later. If that's the case, then you're only paying the freight fee once but it cannot be discounted.

    Price negotiated from MSRP

So they want you to pay $1695 destination price twice?? The MSRP already includes that fee!!

    Price negotiated from MSRP

This is exactly how I feel- tired of dealing with the dealers. I'm not just talking about those who are close to where I live but across the state lines. Even at 11% off MSRP wiyh no rebates and even if I have to drive the truck myself or ship it, I still come out ahead compared to the joke of...

    Price negotiated from MSRP

Yeah, the $1695 is supposed to be part of MSRP.

    Price negotiated from MSRP

Wow! That's awesome. All the more reason for me to go with Carl. In any case, you're right - the difference is around $50.

Rough Downshifting Coming to a Stop

Yeah, I understand your frustration. I had a similar issue back in 2013 on my Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. It was a Hemi 5.7 and I was glad to get rid of it. They used to call this problem a "fish bite" on the Jeep forums in 2012-2013 cause it felt like a tug underneath the vehicle when the...

    Price negotiated from MSRP

Not stackable. For example, 12% off MSRP on a $60,000 truck brings you down to $52,800. Then, let's say the factory invoice is only $55,000. Now you take 1% off that invoice not MSRP. So your final price now becomes $52,250 ($52,800 - .01($52,800)).

    Price negotiated from MSRP

You're absolutely right. Tread Lightly's discount is 1% off factory invoice. Plus you get 12% off MSRP from Carl. So yeah, be careful not to mix and match.

    Price negotiated from MSRP

Yeah, I will probably go with Carl next week once I finally lock the down the options I am wanting on a 2021 Laramie. Costco Auto already has "Build Vehicle" feature for the 2021 Ram 1500s but I don't see the new advanced tech group (ADG) or the new trailer tow group (AHC).

    Price negotiated from MSRP

Actually, I don't think you have to wait 30 days for the FCA set up, you just can't use the discount for the first 30 days of becaming a member. I was able to get my control number from FCA within a couple of days. Once your order comes in (which will probably be in a couple of months anyway)...

    Price negotiated from MSRP

That sounds about right. Except I thought Carl offered 12% on the Laramies? Or maybe that's only for the 2020 models. Plus of course you get 1% for tread lightly.

    Price negotiated from MSRP

I went with Navy Federal Credit Union.
  18. SDRebel2021

    Price negotiated from MSRP

No. You're thinking of refinancing real property which does involve all those costs you mentioned.
  19. SDRebel2021

    Price negotiated from MSRP

Right. But you can do all that (save $2K over the length of the loan) in addition to taking their $1,000 in rebates if you refinance.
