I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on one of these. Watched all the YouTube videos so far. For the folks in this thread who installed this sway bar did you use the factory end links and factory rubber bushings or the Hellwig ones?
I've been following the new Tundra for a while with great interest. Information has been tight along the way but I can safely say if that's what the new Tundra looks like it's an easy pass for me based on that alone.
Welcome to the forum and to the unfortunate chirp club! Sounds like your chirp might be associated with the anti-rattle clips. Hopefully you get it resolved. I'm still happy to report that I'm still currently chirp free. I do expect that to change when winter strikes again.
Welcome to the forum and glad to hear the shop foreman addressed your issue. I do have to say though there's no way (at least in my case) that metal shards are causing the chirp. It seems there's 2 categories of chirps that have been reported on here, one being the anti-rattle clips which looks...
Just wanted to provide a little update on this. Since the weather where I live has been consistently warm for some time now my squeaking/chirp noise is 100% completely gone (without touching or doing anything) making my drives more enjoyable and not so embarrassing, I guess until winter rolls...
Hi, thanks for sharing this information but are you sure that's the right TSB number (08-41-21)? I'm trying to find info on it but so far no luck and it sounds like this will solve the problem that most of us have with our remote starter.
Ok never realized that you bought it from a Ford dealer, that changes things! I doubt they can help you with the fobs. If you buy a fob off ebay it still needs to be programmed for your truck at a Chrysler dealer or you can do it yourself with AlfaOBD though you need your trucks PIN number to do...
The dealership can easily program a couple of new keyfobs that has the remote start button and they should do it free of charge! Another option is to use the uconnect app for your phone. The first year of the service is free so you would have to pay a monthly fee in your case but it is an...
The problem is the feature is listed on people's build sheets (mine included) and was disabled at some point without proper warning from FCA and most dealerships have no clue about it either. In theory this is false advertising and at the very least poor business practice on their behalf hence...
No problem and thank you, glad I can help! The young kid that's still trapped in my head would've loved a Borla Atak but that wouldn't go over very well with the wife, kids or neighbors! I'm happy with the Magnaflow though it's perfect for my current situation and I hope you're happy with yours...
I've had that muffler on my truck for quite some time now and I would have to give it a 2.5/3 out of 5 on the loudness meter (compared to stock). We all hear differently for sure. It's a much deeper exhaust note than stock and it sounds really good when you're on the outside of the truck. It's...
Yes this could be it or at least something similar. Another nice day here today and I went for a drive with the kids with the sunroof open and never heard one chirp. Whatever I'm experiencing is cold related. It's really annoying when present which is a shame cause I do love my truck.
Well that's good to know. There won't be any difference for those of us who used AlfaOBD as all we did is enabled the feature that should've been enabled by default from the factory.
Just an update, drove home from work yesterday and the outside temp was 16°C. I took the same route as I always do (which includes 3 speed bumps in one area) and the squeak/chirp was almost completely gone.
I'm assuming you're referring to driving at night with the tailgate down annoying people behind you with the cargo lights on? If working properly, the cargo lights will come on and stay on as long as the tailgate is down. Now that you brought this to my attention, I'm not sure what will happen...
