I am not a fan of chrome but required a bench seat. Unfortunately you can't get a Night Edition (or sport) without bucket seats in the 1500s. I really think they should offer every trim with or without chrome.
I'm not sure how they found out. I know some dealers are good about providing updates as they happen. If you check everyday then you'll know as it happens.

It means it has a VIN and they are still gathering parts to build it. You are correct that it doesn't have a scheduled build date. I've been in D status just over 3 weeks.
