Find another dealer, software updates and TSB's are supposed to be done free of charge. I've never had a dealer charge me for either, honestly I would contact Ram corporate and report that dealer.
I'm going to be doing a review of a new exhaust coming out soon from AWE Tuning. If its anything like their exhaust that I had on my Mustang GT and their Challenger/Charger exhausts then its gonna kill Borla and Corsa soundwise.
I used the SGW bypass from infotainment and the OBDlink MX dongle on mine. Looks like the MX was replaced with the MX+ but I've never had an issue with them and they work great across all brands, had mine from my Mustang to use Forscan which is the FoMoCo version of AlfaOBD.
Honestly you could use some 3M carbon fiber wrap and most people wouldnt be able to tell the difference. Kind of a pain to work with but it looks like legit raw CF. I personally dont care for hydro dipped carbon because it doesnt look like real CF but thats just me.
Do you happen to know the part number for the dash with the HUD opening? Unfortunately there are like 10 different dash part numbers and none of them indicate the difference between them.
I know you have to have a 2021 premium cluster to plug the HUD into as it has the usb port needed. Its probable that you would need a 21 BCM as well so it might just be limited to 2021 and newer trucks at least from a ease of adding prospective. The biggest challenge is getting the correct...
