Vehicles aren't build based upon VIN order period. They are built in the order that keeps the production line flowing the most efficiently, especially now with the global supply shortage. Had we not been in a global pandemic for the last 2 years none of this would be an issue and everyone...
Dealers by and large are going to tell you what you want to hear....plain and simple. Sure there are plenty out there that will shoot it straight but those are more the exception than the norm. Unfortunately Stellantis doesnt have all that much recourse with the US dealer laws protecting all...
This. Ya'll really should look into modern automotive manufacturing and how things run. Its not some random do whatever thing, its carefully planned out to keep similar trims/options going down the line to streamline the process.
They are withholding not eliminating the rewards, and lowering Stellantis' budget for spins/spiffs which were used to incentivize the selling of slow moving units. Considering we are in a bizarro world market where new cars are selling for MSRP+, used vehicles are going for over MSRP and...
Doesn’t show on the window sticker but a pray in bed liner is standard equipment on Limited trim. If you look at the build sheet it says Mopar spray in bed liner under standard equipment
Zones are regional business centers. Orlando is the RBC for the South East that just means Stellantis has a corporate office there not where the cars get shipped to.
None of the existing radios will be upgradable to UC5. They dont have the processing power or RAM to handle the new OS. Given that there will be an 8.4/12 version for the Ram I am hoping that it will be a relatively simple swap out. Might need @Jimmy07 to fab an adapter harness(maybe he...
There are OTA updates on the current system as well but yes since it’s android based and not proprietary like the old system updates should be easier and faster to push out. Having to drop your vehicle off for days to get a software update done is a dealership issue, my dealer always performs...
That's probably because they are due to be replaced. Challenger and Charger should be moving to an Alfa platform in MY23 or MY24 and the 300 isn't long for this world(could change with new management at Chrysler).
If that was the case then we would already have heard about it from existing vehicles... Durango, Pacifica and Grand Cherokee L all have UC5. They are even adding it to the 22 1500 Classic which if they were really having major issues with it they wouldnt have wasted their time/money adding to...
So I just saw that the 22 1500 classic is going to come with the 8.4 Uconnect 5. That bodes well for the 19-21 trucks being able to upgrade I would think. Wish someone would get their hands on a 22 so that we could find out.
@Eighty or @triple_B Are you able to tell where trucks are going dealer wise? Trying to see what my dealer(Lake City CJDR, Florida) has coming as I am looking to get back into a truck. Jeep is fun but I miss the room and utility of the truck.
They actually do....the problem is most sales people skip through the training material provided my the manufacturer. That and most don't bother to actually get in different vehicles on the lot and learn their features.
