While browsing inventory, I began to notice that new Limited builds (mid/late November and onwards) no longer mention the Active Noise Control system. Has RAM pulled this feature?
@RamCares if you have any information please share.
here's a few recent Limited builds that I'm seeing don't...
Not to get off-topic  but is anyone else noticing the new builds (November and newer) do not have Active Noise Cancellation listed on the window sticker anymore? Did RAM pull the feature?
Trades shouldn't matter? What? Trades certainly do matter when negotiating the price of any vehicle. The dealer is factoring in how much to offer for your trade vs. how much they can make on it. Even if you try to keep the negotiations separate (price of new vehicle separate from value of your...
I'm sympathetic to this. I'd guess that over 75% of the posts here involve a trade-in, which is an unknown factor that complicates the final terms of the deal. Getting a quote from Koons is def the way to go. At least you have something concrete to go off of. That's what I plan on doing, if no...
Nice deal! 54k before TTL is solid. I disagree regarding the 0% for 72 months though. If someone is concerned about being underwater (you're not underwater that long) then you can buy GAP insurance from your auto insurance company for a fair price. Even if you paid a few hundred dollars for the...
exactly...yea that's a great dealer discount and you'll save roughly $7500 on loan interest. (assuming no down payment and comparing to a 4% interest rate over 72 months)
That's what I would assume. There's no way a dealer can do a dealer discount of 20%. You need the FCA incentives (the standard plus whatever else you may/may-not qualify for) to reach that 20% off figure. For example, the standard Big Horn incentive in my area was $6500 at one point, that's...
I don't think this is correct. Invoice should be roughly MSRP x .91, and holdback is MSRP x .03. (MSRP in both calculations is without the $1695 destination fee.)
At least that's what I've been seeing.
depends on if the dealer gets their holdback for EP sales. I think they do. HB is 3% of MSRP (without the dest fee). You could try to get some of the HB off of the EP price. The EP price is already pretty sweet though, plus whatever FCA incentives you and your zip code qualify for.
Type in "car loan calculator" on google to get a quick look at the total cost of a loans. See attached pic.
In my example, if you were to finance $50k at 4% for 72 months, you'd actually end up paying $6,323 in interest. So the "break even" point is if you literally got $6,323 in incentives...
Good point, make sure ya'll do the math on whether you're better off taking the incentives versus taking the 0% for 72 months. Look at your total cost if you took the 0% financing, then look at your total cost if took the incentives (the cost of the truck plus the interest you'll pay over the...
To reiterate, assuming no trade-in is involved in the price of the truck, you should be shooting for:
INVOICE - HOLDBACK - REBATES = $$ Goal
If you get close to that goal, then you've done pretty darn good.
Others have mentioned other tactics such as "dealer coupons" and "end of the month...
To be fair, he was excited because it is literally the most attractive color scheme that RAM offers (in my opinion) :) I wish it could be had on a Laramie.
