I agree....and also fully agree that it's not something we should have to ever do but as a CHEAP, EFFECTIVE option it is probably the best option if that's the only issue someone is having. Anyone flippantly suggesting "just trade it in!" is being ridiculous and overly simplistic. Not everyone...
As someone pointed out upthread, FCA will never admit to it being an issue and go through the massive expense of fixing it on Rams already out there with issues but they may have quietly made a change to the operation of the a/c system/blend doors, etc. in newer builds. They would simply call it...
Not that I would ever do something like this because I would be afraid that the double parking idiot would damage my vehicle but here is just karma:
And...another good one:
Same as all you other guys who park far away and walk the distance to the entrance.....I've been lucky so far (knock wood) - I also always try to take a corner spot with a curb (i.e; only one side of my truck would be "open" to someone parking next to it) if available - I back in as close to the...
Well, that's concerning being a late build......did you see other posts on here about the drain tubes being bent/stopped up where they exit the rear of cab.? I know some guys with sunroofs were having that issue....the tubes would be kinked or compressed and water would back up and leak into...
Make sure you find out WHAT software update they did...there may be more than one and/or maybe they did the wrong one. My service manager didn't even know about it until I showed it to him. Ask them to show you where on the repair order/worksheet that this is the one they did. The one you want...
When it happens put the all the windows down...if it stops the it's the ANC system. This has been discussed numerous times on here...I had the issue about a month after getting my new truck....brought it in and the did the software update TSB that has been mentioned either upthread or in other...
Can't go wrong with either the Mopar or Husky's. I went with the Husky's because I got them via an Amazon like new deal for dirt cheap ($75). Note: right now Amazon has 10% off the full set new....works out to about $130 shipped for the quad cab version and $125 for crew cab...
At first I thought so too but it's really no different than those space saver spares that have been used for years in cars & kept under panel in the trunk. It's really only meant to get you home/to repair shop so I think for what it is it works.....problem is a lot of people think they can use...
I've said this numerous times in other posts.....the first step anyone should take when something like this happens is to disconnect the battery, wait 15 mins & reconnect. Then see what happens and let everything reboot.
Our trucks (like just about every other new veh. today) are more computers...
Sounds like, given the 1.5 year figure you gave, that this is an early build truck. One important question that may lead you down the right path....did you ever have a water infiltration/leak issue? If so, that could be a contributing factor.....sometimes it takes a while for corrosion...
Did you try removing the negative battery cable for about 15 mins and then reconnect, rebooting systems?? Worth a shot - May not have solved the issue but the neg. battery removal thing is the equivalent of the "Ctrl/Alt/Delete" reset for PCs (and our trucks, just like every other new veh...
Hmm...excellent point...I've always checked my tires (never had TPMS on my old vehs) using a good gauge. I was just going by the display readout assuming it would be close to accurate - should know better since I'm not a big fan of everything being electronic/computerized. Gonna have to use the...
Possibly...but he implied there are only 2 (which is all that is supplied by dealer when purchasing) so unless he went through the expense to obtain a 3rd or there is somehow a rogue keyfob secreted & matching his truck that he doesn't know about, it seems improbable.
Edit to add: If you click...
To everyone asking about the spare keyfob (my thought/question too) he did reply upthread a bit (post #25) that the spare fob was inside his house....so, seems to rule out that chance. He hasn't replied since that second post..hopefully he'll come back with a final outcome.
As temps have recently dropped below freezing by me, I noticed cold readings dropped to around 34 (they were at 40 when I got truck back in May). The ride definitely suffered and got spongy feeling....I didn't realize just how bad it was until I increased pressure back to 41 (fronts) and 40...
