Update, dealership called me and they are waiting on the manager to look at it before they can do anything. They are saying the decals on the lower portion of the light is causing the delamination so, I asked what about the cracks where decals are not placed and they didn't have an answer...
Definitely some kind of defect for these lights. When I wash the truck, I can see water getting in the crack and fills the gap making it look like there are no cracks. When it dries out the crack reappears.
Hi all,
Just curious if anybody is having/had this issue with their tail lights? Please see pictures were I have marked the hairline cracks.
Thanks in advance!
Mine was like this and about 1600 miles is when I noticed the fibers coming out.
I looked at it today and barely see anything after the clean up so will be monitoring it.
Mine gets between 16 to 18 mpgs, and drove a 4th Gen 4x4 crew cab loaner for few days and was averaging 19 to 20 mpgs.
Another thing I have noticed with the 4th gen at the traffic lights, the avg mpg doesn't drop that quickly compared to 5th gen.
Well folks, I got the truck back today and after further diagnosis with the seat covers, they said the fibers coming through the vents are normal due to the perforated seats for cooled seats. They did check few other trucks on the lot and some had it, and they said it will go away as the seats...
Well folks, I got the truck back today and after further diagnosis to the front clunk noise they are saying it is front passenger side sway bar link and not the strut and it's on order.
