I'm more apt to think that the sensor in the recline is defective or not plugged in properly or something. The seat needs to know where its at and if it thinks it tilted forward and needs to tilt back to get where you want it set, it will just keep going. Dealer should be able to figure this...
Had them on my edge and got 50k on them. Have them on my 23 ram and they ride nice and are quiet at freeway speeds. No idea on wear yet as they are new. I have heard people wearing them out under 20k, I'm hoping for closer to the 50 i got on my edge.
