So basically just as the title, the front floor mats in my longhorn are falling apart, pieces are breaking off and the plastic/rubber is cracking. Normally I would say this is bad luck and a bad batch of rubber and I assumed ram would replace it, but after 3 or 4 weeks with ramcares they are...
Waited until everything was resolved until I posted this stuff, but I found an oil leak in the timing cover, not enough to drip but enough to make the area around it wet. Dealer took about a week to fix it and they gave me a loaner while they had mine. Hopefully this is a one off occurrence and...
is it motor oil? Just gotta follow the oil spots until you find where it’s coming from, or if it’s under warranty just drop it off at a dealer, that would be the easiest option.
Just kinda depends on what model cover you get, some gets a bunch of water, some don't let any water in. I have the truxedo lo pro soft roll up and when it rains I get barely any water in, like a few drops. But the drive through car wash lets a bit in at the corners. But I keep cardbaord boxes...
1st time with ram boxes and I love them, I work in construction so I keep all kinds of things in it.
milwaukee 1/2" impact kit and socket set, tie downs, tow strap, hitch shackle, sockets and ratchets, 12v air compressor kit, screwdrivers, pliers and crescent wrenches, gloves, box of bungie...
32k miles on mine, did same trip as you, ca>tx>ca and averaged 19 mpg going there and I averaged 85mph. I have the 3.92 gears so I get crap mileage past 65mph. Towing my boat I get 11 or 12 mpg. Try resetting the trip meter, also Texas is extremely flat so its easy to get good mpg there, hills...
No wrinkles in mine but its not super tight either, its fabric so I'm not too worried about it. Side question. anyone with the longhorn floor mats experiencing tearing yet? My floor mats are literally falling apart, like a huge hole in the mat where my foot rests and the rubber is so brittle and...
2020 longhorn ecodiesel here, 10 months and 28k miles, so far so good. Just made a 2800 mile trip from SoCal to Dallas Texas and it was a pretty easy drive, especially nice with the ACC. And being able to go 650+ miles with the 33 gallon tank is awesome.
12" U-connect hasn't given me any issues...
68436631AA is the fuel filter, it’s the same filter as the new Cummins so you pick them up at any auto parts store, I got an oem one from dieselfiltersonline for like $35.
They should be changed every other oil change, so 20k miles
super excited for electric trucks, once battery tech gets better and it can go 500+miles on a tank/charge and fast charging stations are more available I would get one in a heart beat, being able to charge up at home on solar panels would be awesome. Self driving would be a plus too, just did a...
fuel filter is super easy to get to, its on the frame rail, driver side, kinda under the driver seat area, you cant miss it assuming you know what a filter looks like lol. And yes you need to prime it, but priming is easy, no tools required, just turn the key or push to start into the run...
I put mine on the drivers seat, looks pretty clean and out of the way, and i dont have to bend over anywhere to reach it.

2020 ecodiesel here w/ 33 gallon tank & 3.92 gears, 8 months old and 21k miles
came from a 15' gmc 5.3 and i wouldn't go back to gas
diesel pros:
- better low end torque which is nice for pulling trailer, especially up hills
- better mieage, i average 23ish mpg but im also a pretty aggressive...
I wouldn't recommend the diesel to save money, especially if you pay a dealer to do the oil and fuel filter changes. $180 for an oil change w/ filter and $390 for a fuel filter which is ridiculous. But if you want the range with the 33 gallon tank then its awesome, my truck is about 8 months old...
