Seriously though, I came out of a 2wd Ram and woke up one morning and wanted a 4wd. Ram didn't offer the black interior for 07 like my 05 had so I bought an F150 FX4. That turd couldn't even get out of it's own way. I hated that 5.4 and then the transmission took a dump at 28k miles. Electrical...
Wanted to take pictures of the old bracket that didn't fit and the new bracket that they sent. Even drilling the holes more On the old bracket and it's still off. Plus the new bracket is longer and was way easier to put on.
Just the pic. They are both in the middle holes. That was one of the first things I checked because my eyes aren't what they used to be either.
It definitely has me stumped as to what it was. If it starts pulling again then I will put the factory bar back on and take it in to the dealer. Most...
Who's ready for the twist to this story and possibly a different problem completely?
Yesterday my S&B CAI was delivered. I heard that you want to disconnect the negative from the battery to reset everything and let the truck learn any new mods. I do have a Borla Atak exhaust I put on a couple...
I'll video it on my way home tomorrow and see if I can post it. I had the bright idea to see about using one of the old brackets in the meantime but those aren't coming off and they are different style.
If I had to do this all over again, I would still buy it. Handling is 10 times better than what it was. The problem is something simple and I will figure it out to help the next person.
At about 45 mph it's not as noticeable, just takes a little farther down the road to do it maybe 100 feet. At 70 mph it's immediate when you let go of the steering wheel. It's just like what you would feel when your front end is out of alignment. When I let go of the steering wheel, I will be...
This is the sway bar installed. The bracket on the right is the problem. I received no response from my email so I called them directly and was immediately put through to Kevin. He told me it was the wrong bracket and was probably pulled from the wrong bin. He asked for the date on the box which...
I elongated the hole just to make it work but it's still binding. The bracket is not the same size as the other one and Hellwig confirmed today that it's not the right bracket. They are shipping a new one to me.
I agree. Other than it pulling hard, it handles great!. Barely even move the steering wheel and it turns. It's like it has improved the steering response greatly. Truck doesn't roll in the curves like it used to. I'm happy with the performance aspect except it pulls. I'll probably take off the...
I can guarantee it wasn't pulling either way before the install or I would have had this back to the dealer immediately to fix. I'm fighting the steering wheel because it wants to pull so much.
I'm thinking that bracket is binding the bushing. I will go to the left lane and it will pull left. I can immediately go to the right lane and it will start to pull right.
So I ordered the Hellwig 7709 for my 2021 Limited. Everyone said it was a 30 minutes install. Well let me tell you, mine was two hours and still going.
Everything was going smoothly until I tried mounting the brackets to the rear axle. One matched up perfectly, the other wasn't even close...
