Dang I saw a screenshot of the underside a few days ago, didn't know where the story came from - also direct YT link so for those who don't care for the ads on FauxNews
This right here. Ignorance of local laws isn't going to save him - his statement of 'they just don't like me' also plays both ways; you don't like the rules or those who enforce them? tough noogies.
Breaking laws on camera and then posting them is grade A moronic - there's enough internet...
Found this thread just to add my experience - 23,6xx Miles on my 2019 Rebel with the lockup + failure while miles from civilization. Here's my whole thread with a dashcam video/audio of what the steering rack sounded like after lockup and I came to a standstill.
@alacombe - how did your...
I don't have either, but have looked into motor add-ons; in general you should know the limits of your specific drivetrain. Any added power + strain = higher likelyhood of failure.
Obviously, A diesel would be better overall for towing due to torque + drivetrain built for torque.
What 1500...
Saw you're in Sac (I'm not far); any chance you had it sprayed at Elk Grove Truck Accs? They left the plugs in my drivers door pocket, missed seeing them there for months haha
Talking to a guy I went wheeling with; it was AllTrails that he got a 5 year plan up front for; I'm all for paying when actually exploring; but puttering around forest roads to explore for a day trip once a month, might as well search online/paper maps etc. Besides, most of the trails shown (if...
The key fob has to be in the vehicle, so if it's in your pocket and you're outside, the pushbutton will not work.
If you leave your keys in your truck (fob or otherwise), that's just asking for an opportunist to run off with your truck
Just downloaded AllTrails on my Tablet (using a Tab S7 so far) - good point on CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility! Learning that one out to see how I like it. Still trying to figure out who's going to take my money and be worth it.
Tested out:
OnX OffRoad: Its okay, nice UI and overlay...
Def could be - wouldn't put it past FCA Engineers to leave wonky programming on various trims.
I distinctly tried it out, not when towing, just in T/H mode in windy mountain roads, I had MDS (and the ECO light) kick on every descent/ascent.
Never happened with the gear limiter though.
Never heard of his channel before, first watch, don't really like his style and agreed, lack of knowledge - sure he can give you a layman's 'impressions' but nothing new or useful.
and yeah he's an idiot with the paddles. there's no 'memorizing' gear shift points, you either feel it and know...
FWIW: In 2 years on this board this is the 2nd time I've heard of a rack/pinon replacement being needed, though the wait also sounded the same, dealer couldn't secure a R&P due to none in stock.
Good luck! @RamCares will surely reach out to help escalate your case, be sure to have your dealer...
I'm glad they caught 'em! did they ask him how he drove a bunch of nails in your tire too?! (jk jk I know what studded tires are)
Like said above, they'll be able to replace everything, glad it was a clean enough hit
That's actually one of best fitting bumpers I've seen so far (based on pics) any chance you have a PDF of the install manual? I can't find it on their site
Thanks for those reminders - I tried them +\- 2 years ago and they were lukewarm, downloading now to my Tab to try them out... which reminded me, Jeep/FCA has a trail app, I don't recall if it was any good
A little recalibration with a tazer and it will be haha
@OP though, if you're in florida and not actively going off road, the anti-spin is probably a better choice as a 'set it and forget it' - there's a really very good video of a ram test at some loading docks with all axle types driving...
There's actually a review video out there with a Ram engineer riding / driving a Rebel on a closed course who endorsed using 4Lo specifically because they don't plan to do more than 55, but were in a high torque need off road on this demo track.
I figure whenever I know I'm keeping it under 55...
