I ran 33x11.5x20s on my last truck with ORP and no level kit and have no issues you’ll be perfectly fine at setting 4 or 5 on the bilsteins. I would recommend setting 4 because your truck might appear nose high at 5. If you put any weight in the bed it’ll definitely be nose high.
I’m pretty much...
I've been dealing with a clunking noise when going over bumps since I installed my bilsteins. Today I went through and tightened everything, nothing loose that resolved it. At this point its almost seeming like the bilsteins are topping out. The clunk only happens when hitting deep potholes or...
Interesting, my truck is a little nose high whenever I put anything in the bed so I’ll drop down to setting 4 in the coming weeks. I knew setting 4 was the way to go!
how does the truck feel on setting #4? I have the ORP with mine set at #5 and it feels a bit "boaty" and rocks in the front. Considering dropping down to #4 soon.
My previous comment still applies. Your wheel needs to come off for easier access and also the shock will come out when there is not pressure on it. just lift the rear and throw a couple stands under the axel.
the 5100s? Its a major suspension component... you need to remove the wheels to remove them so yes the vehicle needs to be jacked up properly to do any of this.
No, you wont notice much difference in the rear from these. The front is a bit different. Floats a bit more but my shocks are also on setting 5 which is max for ORP.
This is a Laramie with the off road package. Truck details are in signature. The rear was not lifted at all. It stayed the same height as stock. If I were to raise the rear id go with a 1" puck under the coil spring.
My 2021 has had no issues with this as of yet. I also have yet to see anyone with a 2021 report this as an issue so the window change probably fixed it. Or I would hope it did.
Were you able to resolve your clunking? I have bilsteins at #5 on my ORP and my passenger side clunks when it is full droop it seems like. I haven't retorqued everything as im debating dropping down to setting #4.
Have you checked the rear seat bolt holes? My truck made a whistle noise with the front windows cracked and turns out it was rear seat bolt holes that werent plugged.
Anything ever come of this? First time had this happen today rolling through a turn and it seemed like the etorque just shut the engine off and never realized it should've turned back on.
It works very well. That's a bit odd why you got spots with a softener. I guess it depends on the system but its possible there are still a small amount of minerals left in your water and they'll show up pretty easily on darker paint.
