I installed a 180° stat in my previous truck, while it ran slightly cooler on the highway, the fuel mileage plumeted and their was zero performance increase. Modern engines are designed to run a hot combustion chamber to completly burn all the fuel maximizing power. Unless youre tuned for a 180°...
That makes no sense. If you take a 180° tstat and the stock ~202°, both are wide open by 203° and the 180° would offer zero advantage over the stock unit especially at 225°+. The tstat opening isnt larger on the 180°, it just opens sooner, if youre getting up to 225, something else is wrong...
Didn't want to clean polish off the plastic or out of the door jams and the rubber seals on the doors.
Didn't do that on the other side and spent more time cleaning up the polish than it took to polish.
Washed it for the 1st time since May then gave it a quick polish
PPF is still holding up nicely, 4 years and 80K miles. I'd like to get 2 more years out of it before I have it replaced. PPF on hood and fenders is still in good condition
The factory battery was bad when I replaced it however each time I disconnected it then reconnected it, there were no issues.
Came outside from dinner one night the the battery unlocked the truck and lowered the running boards but nothing, got a jump then changed the battery the next day. I have...
I replaced mine at 3 years with a Sams Club Duracell AGM, $180 ish (3 or 4 year full replacement). I pulled the old one out rolled it in for the core charge then bought and installed the new battery in the parking lot. No lights, no codes, no erratic activity. I then ordered a new battery...
Maybe do your due dillegence on a particular vehicle model before extended purchase and determine if your vehicle purchase warrants an extended warranty. I'd bet you many a BMW owner would disagree with yor comments. All an extended warranty is is an insurance policy, a gamble that something...
Ok. My extended warranty was $2200.
Engine failure and replacment, $10-15K
Trans failure and replacement, $8-10K
ETorque generator faiulure, $1K
MDS failure, eat a cam, 3-4K
What finiancial advisor thinks those failures are less than 2K, I want to know so I dont go to them. My warranty has...
Wrong aggain, I can afford an out of pocket expensive repair, do I want to when I can mitigate it? No. Why would I want to pay for a tranmission failure at 100K miles when I can buy an extended warranty for $2K that will cover that repair, what sense does that make?
And I bought an extended...
If you go through cars quickly then no but if you drive cars beyond 3-5 years then extended warranties make sense.
My truck had the exhaust manifolds replaced at 65k and the AC TSB done at the same time. Paid my $200 on a repair bill that was over $2K. My warranties cost was $2200 through...
I have a friend that used to have a nissan titan, his front axle failed (seized up) and nissan told him it was from not engaging 4x4 frequently enough to lubricate the front drive axle/components
I did that after a hailstorm here a couple years ago, the glue included with those kits isn't strong. You'll need the real PDR glue
