About to hitch up a trailer to it and go pic up my car from the tuner
Made a little over 650whp on a dyno-com hub dyno which reads about 4% lower than a dyno-jet; thats roughly 690 on a dyno-jet.
I went in and was polite to them and explained that I'd read that Ram admitted the defect int he dash. He didnt even flinch, looked at ikt for literally 2 seconds then put the data in the system and waited for Rams response on what they'd cover.
My suggestion is to go to a known good dealer...
I had to pay 40%, I'm out of 3/36.
I could buy the dash myself for $502 + tax and shipping then still had to install it myself, my guess is that it would have been right around $600-650.
I paid $602 and Ram paid the rest and installed it, no brainer to me
My dash is apparently the latest part number revision. IMO, it's not the leather that the problem but the adhesive used. On this dash, I don't see glue lines where the adhesive was applied. It's all one solid mass whereas my original, I could see lines under the leather where the adhesive was...
How are the coolant temps? If theres air in the system and the sensor is in one of those air pockets, it'll read higher and keep the fans on. The waterpump itself shouldnt impact electric fan run times unless the pump is caviting itself which will create air pockets. Make sure the system is...
Just picked upy truck, everything looks good.
Leather looks exactly the same as the original. I've read some comments where the leather was changed and had a different texture but this is exactly the same. Part number is different though, ends in AG so there's been a few revisions.
No...
I'm really starting to think that this is the issue or specifically, some type of protectant that being applied.
I use a sun shade and my windshield has ceramic IR film on it (70%) so its not UV light. It may be the heat but I think its the protectant chemicals used. I don't regularly use...
I Use 70% isopropyl alcohol but different strenghts require different dilution ratios.
70% instructions
8 ounces (or ½ of a 16 ounce bottle) will make 32 ounce of 17.5% IPA to Water solution. Get a 32 ounce container, pour in 8 ounces, (or ½ of a 16 ounce bottle) of the 70% IPA and then fill...
Mine is at Huffines Dodge in Plano getting the dash replaced right now, suppsed to be done around 5PM. They did it under Goodwill and are paying 60%, I pay 40%. I'm paying $604. I can buy the dash myself for $502.
Mine wasn't near as bad as many of the pics I've seen posted here, I went in on...
People worry far too much about modern synthetic oil temps with little to no understanding that these oils are good to 500°+.
You're not stressing these modern synthetics at 250°
If that's from city water which it looks like it is, that's dried crystalized calcium and other mineral deposits. Washing the truck's not going to remove that, you'll at a minimum need a light abrasive polish or clay bar and at worst, paint correction.
Waxing or polishing it afterwards may help...
I just left the ram dealership and let them look at mine while I was there and they gave me a response that ram will pay 60% of the repair and I would be responsible for $604 of it.
I know the dash is around $700 and I have found it as low as $490 The bulk of it is in the labor.
Mine is nowhere...
Why even bring up lemon law in this situation? There's been no failed attempts at repair and we all know the availability of service at most shops whether it be mechanical or paint and body. I had to get 2 tires replaced last week because of road debris, spent 2 hours waiting for them to get to...
All this over a cylinder mis-fire, calling for lemon lawing the truck for what seems like a dealer service dept that cant get to the truck or maynot have the repair parts?
How about trying a differnt dealer and using a little patience. BTW, 18 yo's cant rent a car so the dealer cant give them a...
