    Powerstep Installation

Reading the description I surmise they will stay deployed for 30 minutes regardless of door position. After 30 minutes they stay deployed until the door is open and shut at which time they will retract. This makes perfect sense so you don't drive off with the steps down after being parked for...

A heads-up for those wanting to purchase the AMP over ride switch kit, I rechecked Amazon for the AMP over ride switch and they have it in a limited quantity from an Amazon Partner. I ordered it and should get it next week...

I have to say a poor job of packaging by Mopar parts. Good to hear you got all the hardware. I expect my order to be delivered tomorrow. I will report here if things are missing.

I'm glad you have that fixed. Sometimes the problems we don't know about are the ones most troublesome. I now wonder how many power steps installed by dealers and other installers have the same issues that were not corrected. This is a big reason I like to install my mods to catch these...

I agree, the primary premise with the Amp power steps is convenience. The switch adds to that.

I want this feature to be able to lock the step either up or down. Like you the down position would be handy for tight parking spots. You could go to each side and step on the boards after closing the doors but this is enough of an inconvenience I can see not doing it all the time. When I am...

    Powerstep Installation

I'm waiting on the override switch as well. Too bad because the installation would have been easier at the time the steps were installed. On the bright side I will have time to see if the switch is really needed. I was thinking of making my own switch setup. With the instructions downloaded it...

I am beginning to suspect those pallets of parts were intended to be destroyed due to the engineering stop order. Someone got the parts before they were disposed and hastily boxed them up for resale. I have no proof. Destroying parts and entire automobiles due to safety or compliance issues is...

    Powerstep Installation

In my case I loosened the attachment bolt on the ATTM and rotated it down a couple of degrees. That's all it took, I didn't want to stray too far off the original setting. The angle might have something to do with the tuning of the vibration cancellation.

The clearance issue I mentioned was with the retracted linkage assembly, not the motor. Take a look at the clearance from the rear of the retractacted linkage to see either the very close clearance or actual contact with the drum shape of the ATTM. In my case there was solid contact. Not good...

I don't have that issue, Quad Cab has no floor storage boxes.

I can't remember the name of the product, I will get it posted tomorrow. It is a spray can that is lanolin based. I bought it at Lowes.

    Powerstep Installation

I did essentially the same installation over the past three days. I had to do it in steps because of the very cold weather here. Like you I would say I have 7 hours into this installation including trimming the boards for the quad cab. For that I set up my radial arm saw with an aluminum cutting...

This is a concern for me as well. I contacted Mopar America about this and they said they can't understand why this is happening and the bolts should be packaged in a plastic pouch within the box. FedEX is handling the shipping on my order. I have had good luck with them. Did your order ship...

    WeatherTech Mud Flap Review

I ordered both sets directly from Weather Tech and they came with the film . Almost missed it as it was packed in a small clear plastic pouch. I too am not sure about the effectiveness of such small protective pieces but I used them. Love the fit and finish. Drove in the rain several times...

I ordered from Mopar America last week and it is shipped expected to arrive next Tuesday by FedEx Ground. It takes a bit of time to get to the left coast. I am looking forward to installing and using this useful accessory.

    Powerstep Installation

Nice deal. If I wasn't as anal about a professional installation I would jump at that deal. There is a bit of work to insure long term reliability. Cleaning up the mount studs with a 8mm X 1.5 die and then treating the mount with an anti corrosion spray so those cleaned up studs don't rust...

I have the Laramie Quad Cab. I had to trim 7 inches from the boards as the AMP part number is for both crew and quad cabs. AMP Part number 76240-01a.
