It is really infuriating. Living in hot climates like we do and CarPlay being a common feature in lots of cars I ask people all the time if they have issues in the heat with CarPlay and nobody else has this problem. I don’t understand why Ram can’t figure this out. I wouldn’t care if I had to...
Didn’t seem that unreasonable if it’s truly washable. But I would have paid double that knowing how much it made a difference.
Funny thing is I had a 16 Ram that I had to do a mod on to put in a filter. It didn’t even have one. [emoji1787]
This is the one I ordered.
K&N Premium Cabin Air Filter: High Performance, Washable, Clean Airflow to your Cabin: Designed for Select 2019 DODGE RAM (1500, 2500, 3500) Vehicle Models, VF2065 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GSY1NKW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_HMEKHZ812DXNXN6MM33N?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I ordered the Muzzy AC hack and have it sitting here but dropping it off at the dealer on Wednesday so going to wait to see what updates they apply be for I install it.
Also wanted to say that I swapped out my cabin filter the other day for a K&N and that alone made a HUGE difference. I was...
Been sitting in my truck with it running for over an hour trying to cool it down enough so CarPlay will turn on. Outside Temp is 99. Truck thinks it is 129 degrees. Vents are around 60ish. Lowest I could get it to read is 58°. I hate this truck.

Going into my 4th summer with this piece of **** truck. Has anyone solved the problem of CarPlay not working when the vehicle is hot. IE, parked in the sun in Phoenix. Yes, I have a sunscreen. I am so over it and about to get rid of the vehicle because of it. I’ve seen a lot of other people...
Bump it up. Temps hit over 100 in Phoenix this last week or so and CarPlay is now garbage again. Just called dealership to see if they ever got a permanent fix and he said there might be some software updates that fix it. Taking it on on the 8th.
Seems all of us in AZ with 2019 got the short end of the stick. My “Media Hub” has been replaced twice to no avail. One more time and it’s lemon law territory.

Haven’t been logging in here lately but I have been going to Tempe Ram as well since it’s closest to my house. They replaced the hub about a month ago and it still doesn’t work if it’s hot outside. Sun shade helps some but on a day like today it still doesn’t matter. I literally just called them...
My Media Hub has been replaced twice now. Last one was a month or so ago. Still not working in high heat. It seems they have no idea what is causing it. If the hub were “fried” as they stated then it would not work at all.

Last summer (at the end) they replaced the USB hub and it seemed to work. Fast forward to a couple weeks ago when the temps started getting over 110 (Phoenix) and the issue popped up again. Took it back into the shop (had a list of issues) and they are going to replace the USB hub again. I told...
