Got 'em on, speed appears to be off by 1 mph, I can correct that with AlfaOBD once my security gateway bypass arrives. Ride is a little more firm, but I love the look. Oddly enough, I haven't swapped my TPMS sensors yet, and after a 40 mile ride to work today I didn't get a TPMS system warning.
I searched but nothing turned up. I have some new 20" take off's for my 19 Big Horn, swapping from 18's. Old tire is 275/65-18, new is 275/55-20. The tire size calculator shows a .2" difference in height, so will I throw any kind of speed mismatch codes or can I bolt these on and go?
The nuts certainly wont hurt anything, but I dont think it will help with the bolts breaking. Mine was rusted, and on a truck that has yet to see any road salt. It appears that the bolts are either too small, or that some trucks have bolts that are of a low quality steel. There is no reason for...
I just bought a new set of take off 20" brushed aluminum/gray Laramie wheels and Bridgestome Dueller tires for $1426 shipped from Texas Truck Tire on eBay, they should deliver tomorrow.
Lugs are the same, you only need new lugs with aftermarket wheels because they typically use a tapered cone seat where the OEM wheels use a bulge type lug.
Bought my 19 Big Horn with 24k on it in November for $30K. 4x4, 5.7 eTorque, 8.4, front and rear parking sensors, etc. It has 41K on it now and NADA is showing trade in value at $28k-32K, private party at $34k.
Didnt replace the gasket, but it sealed. Being a metal gasket it didnt appear to have any hot spots or damage so i'll run it as is and see how it holds up.
This was the culprit. Dusty is correct, it wasnt easy, had about 90 minutes wrapped up in this but it now has a larger 8.8 bolt with a nut, the truck is quiet again.
Ill post a pic later, but this bolt was rusted through about half of the diameter of the threaded portion. Sure didnt expect to see this from a 1 year old truck.
Upon closer inspection, my lower bolt is broken, the two pieces of the flange will move up and down but the bolt is clearly separated. The dealer is saying its a bumper to bumper warranty item, I am at 40k so its on me to fix it. Lovely.
This is the flange, it is located in front of the muffler about mid way of the rear door. I tried to tighten it but I can feel it trying to break so ill have to check to see if this falls under the bumper to bumper or the powertrain warranty since I am at 40k miles.
2019 Big Horn, 5.7 eTorque. Noticed the truck sounding louder on cold starts over the last couple of weeks, getting a little worse daily. Finally got a time where I could cold start and check the exhaust, and the gasket between the converter pipe and the muffler is leaking. Exhaust hasnt been...
