Gotta go to the BBB, consumer affairs and any other advocacy group you can find. Point to this form. Get your dealer manager and GM involved.
Make enough noise to make it no longer worth their time or negative publicity to fight you on it.
You can get it handled, but you have to be the squeaky...
Anyone here reported their climate system issues to consumer reports? I have not, and I would assume no one else has either.
Not sure how reliable their surveys are. No one's ever called me to ask.
At the very least, it's an acknowledgement that we aren't losing our minds and there really are some problem trucks :)
If they do come out with a new part, I wonder how many folks in the "ice cold" camp will request it. Should be interesting.
FYI, Mine was lemoned over paint. The back half of the truck was a different color than the front...well documented on these forums and these forums were invaluable in assisting me in getting that resolved.
Same as you. I've owned 2 2019 RAMS. First was lemoned and it suffered from the same issue. Replacement, same issue. Blows in the mid 50's.
4 things I've recently observed.
1) If I'm sweating like crazy after working in the garden and I'm about to die from heat exhaustion, the A/C in this...
And never buy the car that's on display inside the showroom. They almost always have some form of touch up or pdr due to careless customers and/or their free range children.
I've just been living with it. Everytime I drive the truck I feel it and it sucks. Just not worth my time to keep trying to have them fix it. Horrible excuse, I know. But I am just so busy. I really don't have time to deal with it. Wouldn't be so bad if my dealers offered some kind of loaner AND...
It's widespread enough that my service adviser admitted it. Said they see it quite often and that they can only reference the spec sheet. Even agreed that mine and many others are not what he'd expect or even want. Said they even had a few on their lot that they've looked at that they think are...
yea, the problem is FCA has a cheat sheet that they've given to all the shops. I believe when it's in the 90's, they consider 55-60 degrees coming from the vents to be acceptable. My 03 blows must cooler. Just about every car I've ever owned blows cooler...except for an '18 audi Q7. It had weak...
Before I was aware of the A/C clamp hack, I would switch back to my '03 RAM when it go really hot out. It's A/C is super cold. It's old, looks like crap, but still drives good and keeps me comfortable. Kinda crazy that I have to pick between being cool in an old clunker vs sweltering in a top of...
43 years, then you are probably aware of the old manuals that suggest "racking the unit" as a repair procedure. Maybe open the hood and start hitting things with a hammer.
Yep, but far the number one most active complaint I am aware of on these forums. I'm already starting to feel the heat again here in Georgia. About time to add the clamp back on.
At first I thought the OP was kidding around, but maybe he's truly not aware of how widespread of an issue this is.
I know, but priorities get in the way. One of these day's I may get around to it. it's just my work/farm truck at this point. Well, sometimes the wife drives it in the winter and complains. I suspect she'll force me to have to do it eventually if she drives it often enough. I can live just fine...
My 03, without dual zone has a blend door. I would bet they did the same. Standardized the parts. It's all the same whether you have dual or not. I know, because it's broken on my 03 and I've been hesitant to repair it because I have to remove the dash. Big pain.
Was a joke in case it wasn't obvious. I knew as soon as I submitted it that it was too serious, but took a gamble. Anywho, yea...agree with your tax comment. Paying sucks, but giving the government an interest free loan sucks even more.
Since I'm not getting a check but will be paying for everyone else's, I reserve my (personally granted) right to tell all of you how to use it. PLEASE SPEND IT!
But, if I were getting a check, I'd probably spend it on food and essentials. Not sure about rent and/or any other installment loans...
