I am by no means an electrical engineer and to be honest, I cannot be sure the installer was completely straight forward with me concerning the resolution. What is ultimately important to me is that all systems are go!
Issue with topper 3rd brake light resolved. Installer contacted Leer for a fix. Asked what that was and was told they needed to install a diode (?????). Not sure how that fixed kicking the collision avoidance system out, but all is working now regardless.
Just sprung for an 8 year 85000 mile warranty w/$100.00 deductible from Chrysler Warranty Direct for $1785.00. Wife and I recently retired, we purchased a 2019 Subaru Outback for her and don't expect to put a ton of miles on either vehicle.

So if you look back at my post, that is exactly what I'm trying to do (find out which wire SHOULD be used). I'm willing to call any installer that got it right for advice.
Your guess is as good as mine. Cap installer hooked everything up and after I picked up the truck, started it began driving away, I tapped the brake at the end of the driveway and got a center dash message that said the system deactivated. I turned around and went back into the installers, after...
Does your Laramie have front collision avoidance? If so, and the cap has the 3rd brake light. I would like to speak to your installer. Guys who did mine can't figure which wire to connect the cap brake light to without disabling the front collision system.
The can I installed on my 2010 Tacoma is equipped with a drain valve similar to the old radiator drain valve. Also has a dipstick, I check it periodically and drain as needed, easy asd clean. Any Ram offerings have the drain valve?
Installed my step today, bolted up great after I figured that extending the step first gives much more room for hands to start the bolts. Not real happy with the relocation of the wiring harness. I would appreciate if I could see a few pics of your wire relocation so I can correct mine.
